Ingredients:

  • 600 g peeled squid;
  • 150 g onion;
  • 3 tbsp sour cream;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 1 tbsp wheat flour;
  • Ground pepper and table salt to taste.

Manufacturing:

  1. Cut the onion into half rings. If you use leeks, cut them into rings;
  2. We cut the cleaned squid carcasses into rings about 5 mm wide;

At first, I cooked squid only with overcooked onions, and I always liked that they came out slightly hard, as they say, “rubbery to the taste.” And there is nothing complicated, and in order for them to come out firm to the taste, it is enough to cook them longer than usual. If you fry them in a frying pan, leave them for a few minutes, and they turn out simply excellent. Squid only in onions is delicious, and especially with bread. They get a golden color, and with the addition of butter, this recipe is called squid in creamy sauce . And in this traditional recipe, you can add garlic and serve it with pasta. Very tasty and deserves your attention!

True, I like the recipe below even more, because it is prepared in sour cream sauce with the addition of butter. It turns out even tastier! Also, if you add shrimp, it’s simply luxurious. Be sure to try!

How to fry squid in a frying pan with onions

First, scald the squid in boiling water. Boil the kettle and pour in for a few minutes. Don't forget to defrost them ahead of time if they are frozen. If you only want squid with onions in a creamy sauce with garlic, then add the squid and 50 grams of butter, frying for 5-7 minutes. A few minutes before cooking – add 2 cloves of garlic and you’re done. Serve with pasta - it will be delicious!

...well, if you want to go further, you can vary the dish following the steps:

Add the shrimp and fry for a few minutes with the onion so that they are saturated with this smell. You can add butter at this step. Almost 50 gr. You don’t have to add it, and only with sour cream, it will also be very tasty!

You see, there is nothing complicated. Just look at the photo and it will turn out literally the same.

There is one point though! When you add the squid to the pan, they will begin to fry and there will be excess moisture in the pan, which is better to evaporate before adding sour cream.

I usually cook squid for 5-7 minutes, and then, if there is any moisture left, I carefully drain it. I leave it on from time to time! This is not such a critical moment.

I taste the squid with onions and add salt and pepper to taste.

Look how delicious it looks. At this step, I usually eat a couple of spoonfuls with white bread.

You can slow down, and it will just be squid with onions in creamy sauce. A couple of cloves of garlic complete the taste and make the dish indescribably delicious with pasta. Try it!

Usually, a couple of tablespoons is completely enough. But you can always taste it and add another one. Stir and cook for another 2 minutes. At this step, the squids turn out like rubber, in the good sense of the word. If you don’t want hard ones, then don’t keep them in boiling water for a long time in the first step, and don’t cook them for more than 5 minutes. Therefore, with every minute, they will get stronger)).

Please note that if I make sour cream sauce, I make it without garlic. Although I don’t think that 2 cloves can have any bad effect on the taste of the dish. On the contrary, faster, it will be even tastier. This particular recipe is just like that. Therefore, I write it as it is, and I assure you 100% that if you prepare it using this method, you will like it!

The main thing is to observe certain points. The carcass needs to be scalded with boiling water and, after draining it, quickly remove the skin. She just takes off. Then remove the entrails and wash the carcass. That's all! Let the clam dry, and we need to place a frying pan with oil on the stove and peel the onion.
You can vary the amount of onions. I put it down slightly, which I regretted. Let the tenderloin be narrow if you are not very comfortable with this vegetable in this format. The oil is hot, so let's dip the onion tenderloin in here.
