Dumplings prepared according to this recipe are “lazy” because each dumpling cannot be molded individually. It is even easier to prepare and larger in size. You can simply pour water into the mold, add salt and lay out the cooked dumplings, then cook in the oven. But I prefer to cook lazy dumplings in different sauces. You can reduce the time it takes to make dumplings by making them easier to make. In this case, the dough is rolled out thinly and the minced meat is distributed in an even layer. The dough with the inside is rolled up and then cut into pieces. Ready-made lazy dumplings are served with sour cream, adjika, and chopped herbs.

To make lazy dumplings in the oven, I prepare the ingredients according to the list.

I peel and wash the onions. I cut one onion into small cubes, two into half rings.

I peel the carrots, wash them, and grate them on a large grater.

I'm preparing minced meat. In a bowl, combine minced meat, diced onion, chopped garlic, salt and pepper to taste.

Mix the minced meat well and put it aside.

Then I prepare the dough. Sift the flour into a bowl, add the egg, salt, and melted butter.

I add water and knead the dough. I put it in a bag and put it aside.

I'm preparing the sauce. In a frying pan in butter or vegetable oil, lightly fry the onions. I add grated carrots and fry a little more.

Then I pour in the pureed tomato pulp.

Add sour cream, salt and dark ground pepper to taste.

I pour water into the pan and let the sauce boil.

I take 1/3 of the dough and roll it into a narrow circle with a rolling pin. If necessary, I add a little flour so that the dough does not stick to the table and rolling pin.

Using a glass or a round cutter, I cut out circles from the dough.

I lay out 4 circles in a row, going a little beyond the previous one.

Using the round handle of a wooden spoon or spatula, I press the circles as in the photo.

I place the minced meat in a strip in the center of the circles.

I close the minced meat by folding the dough circles in half.

I roll the dough with minced meat into a “roll”.

The dough you need is the same as for regular dumplings, so first we’ll prepare dumpling dough or use ready-made dough from our own freezer.

We need:

For the test:

  • 1 testicle
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp. boiling water

For the inside:

  • 600 g minced meat of any kind
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • vegetable oil for frying

Manufacturing:

1.Knead the dough: lightly beat the egg with salt, add vegetable oil, flour and slowly add boiling water, stirring. Cover the finished dough with a bowl.

2. Chop the onion and garlic, grate the carrots on a large grater.

3. Salt, pepper and mix the minced meat, adding garlic.

4. For the vegetable pad, fry the onions and carrots with vegetable oil in a frying pan.

5. Roll out the dumpling dough into a layer 3 mm wide and spread with minced meat, distributing it throughout the dough.

Roll the dough into a roll

6. Place our barrels on a vegetable pad, fill them with water, and don’t forget to add salt and pepper. Simmer covered until tender, 20-30 minutes.

I don’t understand about you, but I always have Armenian narrow lavash in my house, so my household loves lavash dishes. And I have a huge number of recipes from it, which you can see here. Now we will prepare lazy dumplings, and instead of dough we will use narrow pita bread.

We need:

  • 2 pita breads
  • 700-800 g of minced meat (if we are cooking for a small family, then 500 g)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 100 g sour cream or mayonnaise
  • 100 g water
  • salt, pepper, spices to taste
  • greens to taste
  • vegetable oil

Manufacturing:

1.Fry chopped carrots and onions in vegetable oil.

2. The minced meat needs to be salted, peppered and seasoned with spices. We divide it into two parts, just like we have two sheets of pita bread.

3. Place one half of the minced meat on a sheet of pita bread and distribute it over the entire sheet. The meat layer should be about 3 mm.

We wrap it in a roll. We do the same with the second sheet. Leave for 10 minutes for soaking.

4. Afterwards, cut the rolls into pieces 3 cm in size.

5. Prepare a baking dish, it is better, if you have one, to take a glass round one with a small diameter (see 20), this is in this case when there is a small family. Grease the pan with butter (bottom and sides) and place the fried vegetables, sparingly, along the bottom of the pan.

6. Place the rolls on the vegetable pad, not very tightly to each other.

7. Prepare the filling, for which we mix sour cream with water, salt, and, if desired, add chopped herbs.

Pour in the prepared rolls and place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes. To prevent the top from browning too much, cover with either a lid or foil. After 30 minutes of baking, you can remove the foil and continue baking.

We can also bake it in a frying pan, under the lid.

8. Serve the finished dumplings with sour cream.

Lazy dumplings, as we see, can be baked in the oven or fried in a frying pan, it’s whatever is comfortable for you, the taste will not deteriorate from this, but they turn out like ordinary dumplings, tasty and juicy.

  • pork - 150 g;
  • beef - 150 g;

  • butter - 100 g;
  • sour cream or mayonnaise, khmeli-suneli - for sauce;
  • salt and pepper to taste.

  1. Ground meat. First, you need to start making minced meat, although you can take ready-made ones. The meat is cut into cubes and turned through a meat grinder along with onions. The minced meat is seasoned with spices and salt to taste. Spicy lovers can add garlic by passing it through a garlic press.
  2. Dough. Pour the flour directly onto the table or into a deep and wide bowl in a heap, create a depression in the middle into which to break one egg and add salt. Pour water onto the slide with the egg in portions, stirring everything. The dough for dumplings must be quite stiff and not stick to your hands or the surface of the dish or table.
