Hello dear friends and readers of my blog! Now I suggest preparing noodle maker for you. This dish is perfect not only for breakfast or dinner as a main dish, but can also be served as a dessert. My mother often prepared it for us when we were children. Well, at the moment, if you need to prepare something for dinner or just for tea, without making much effort, she prepares this magical casserole of pasta and eggs.

When I was little, I often wondered why this dish was called noodle maker and not pasta maker. In fact, this is the name of an ordinary casserole, which can be prepared from noodles, noodles, horns, spaghetti and so on - this is unprincipled.

This is a very simple and satisfying dish that does not require any special ingredients. Well, the manufacturing process itself does not require enormous abilities and efforts. Well, if you have boiled pasta left after lunch or dinner, then preparing our dish will take even less time.

The recipe that I will share with you now is basic. Once you learn how to cook using it, you can start experimenting by adding something else to the main ingredients. If, for example, you add cottage cheese or fruit, you will get a good dessert. If there are greens, tomatoes or even minced meat, then the second dish will be for lunch or dinner.

To make this dish, we will need the most common products that can certainly be found in any kitchen. Pasta, milk and eggs. I’ll say right away that it’s better to take larger eggs. In the store we select the category СО (table selection), at the farmers' market you can also find it with the inscription SV (highest category).

  • Pasta – 200 g
  • Milk – 0.5 l
  • Egg – 5 pcs.
  • Butter – 50 g
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Salt – 0.5 tsp.
  • Baking powder – 0.5 tsp.
  • Refined vegetable oil for greasing the mold

If you don't have baking powder, you can use slaked soda. I talked about how to extinguish it in the recipe for making pancakes with milk. In this case, you will need to take half a teaspoon of soda.

First we will need to cook the pasta. Any products (spaghetti, feathers, shells, spirals, horns) are perfect for our casserole, as I said earlier - this is unprincipled.

And I’ll first tell you how to cook them correctly.

How to cook pasta correctly according to time

Since I only have thin spaghetti at home, we will cook it. They can be boiled either completely or previously broken into the shortest pieces. I'll cook it all the way through.

Fundamentally! We put the pasta in boiling water in the proportion of 100 g per 1 liter of water and cook without covering it with a lid.

We pour water into a huge saucepan, add some salt and bring it to a boil over high heat. We pour our spaghetti into perfectly boiling salted water, stirring until the water boils again, reduce the heat on the burner and cook for as many minutes as written on the package. There is no need to wash pasta before cooking.

To properly cook pasta, you need to add 1 tsp per 1 liter of water. salt (heaped).

Recently, almost all manufacturers stopped indicating the cooking time on packages, and simply began to write “cook until done.” In this case, remember the following:

Cook thin products (spaghetti, vermicelli, noodles, nests) for 5 minutes, and the thickest ones (horns, shells, feathers, etc.) for 10-12 minutes.

Please note that if you cook horns or feathers, that is, products with a cavity inside (as in the photo below), then you need to cook them until “al dente”. So that in the future, the filling of milk and eggs gets inside every pasta product.

You can inspect the softness by catching the pasta, cooling it and tasting it. As soon as they become elastic and bite, they are actually ready.

To prevent the spaghetti from sticking together during cooking, you can add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the water.

Well, we are cooking spaghetti, so after 5 minutes after boiling, we throw it in a colander to drain all the water. To help them cool faster, you can wash them with cool water.

And now we will start making the noodle maker itself (pasta and egg casserole).

How to make pasta and egg casserole in the oven

We take a baking dish or deep frying pan, grease it with refined vegetable oil and lay out our spaghetti.

Now turn on the oven, set the temperature to 220 degrees and, while it warms up, we prepare the milk-egg mixture.

To do this, break the eggs into a bowl and whisk them with 1 tablespoon of sugar and salt. Continuing to stir, pour in the milk evenly and add baking powder.

Now pour the contents of the baking dish with the acquired consistency and stir gently, but only with a fork, distributing the spaghetti sparingly throughout the entire container so that there are no lumps. It is better that the milk-egg mixture covers the entire casserole.

During this period of time, the oven will warm up to the appropriate temperature. Now you can put our noodle maker in the oven and bake at 220 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Once our baked goods are perfectly browned, we take them out of the oven. Look how beautiful we have come out.

Immediately place the resulting culinary product on a huge flat plate or dish and, while still hot, grease it well with butter.

You can also sprinkle the finished dish on top with sweet powder or regular sugar. I usually sprinkle sugar on top.

When serving, cut into portions and begin tasting. The casserole can be served with jam, condensed milk or sour cream. Bon appetit!
