This must be taken into account when securing the edges of the bagel. Otherwise, the jam will leak onto the baking sheet and burn.

Cottage cheese can be used as a filling, or it can be added directly to the dough.

If marmalade or fruit is chosen for the inside, then it is best to bake bagels with yeast dough. They turn out light and fluffy.

Bagels should be baked on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. The oven must be preheated to 180 °C and only then place the buns there. Bake bagels for approximately 20-30 minutes. Readiness is indicated by the even golden color of the baked goods. It is not recommended to immediately remove the bagels from the baking sheet after production. You need to let them cool slightly.

How to make bagels from puff pastry

Sprinkle the table with flour. Stretch the puff pastry sheet slightly. Using a lid or a huge round dish, cut out a circle. I have a lid with a diameter of 20 cm.
  2. This is the circle that emerges.
  3. Using a pastry cutter, cut the circle into 8 equal pieces. There is no ring, then we will use a regular knife.
  4. Place a teaspoon of jam on any piece. Sprinkle the filling with a little starch so that the jam does not spread.
  5. Cover the jam with the edge of the workpiece and press on both sides so that it does not leak out. Now you need to carefully wrap the bagels.
  6. 8 bagels came out from 1 sheet.
  7. I cut another sheet with a knife to match the shape of the baked goods. This is what the bagel blanks look like.
  8. Place the pieces in the baking dish at a distance of 1 centimeter so that they do not touch each other.
  9. Break the egg into a cup and shake it with a fork. Grease the bagels with egg.
  10. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. We send the form with the preparations to the oven. Set the thermometer to 220 degrees, bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  11. We take the finished puff pastry bagels with jam out of the oven. If desired, sprinkle with sweet powder and give them a solemn look.

Ingredients:

  • package of puff pastry - 500 g;
  • apples - 1-2 pcs.;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • brown sugar - 2 tbsp. l. or to taste.

How to make bagels from puff pastry

  1. Thaw the puff pastry ahead of time by removing it from the packaging. To prevent it from drying out on top, cover with cling film.
  2. In the meantime, you can prepare the filling. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes.
  3. Melt and heat the butter in a frying pan, add the apples and sprinkle them with sugar. Stirring frequently, simmer until soft.
  4. When the dough is completely defrosted, lightly roll it out with a rolling pin in one direction so as not to disturb the layers.
  5. Cut into squares. At the level of thoughts, we divide each one in half and make several cuts on one half. Place 1 spoon of innards on each half.
  6. We roll into tubes, starting from the side with the insides and without cuts. give the tube a little twist like a bagel.
  7. Bake in a previously heated oven at 200 degrees until a pleasant golden color.
  8. Tip: to make the flaky bagels even tastier and crumble less, you can additionally melt a piece of butter and add 1 tsp to the hot oil. regular sugar and grease the bagels immediately after the oven with the consistency given to us.
