  1. First, for the dough, you need to beat the sugar with the eggs, then add warm butter (margarine), add the drink, carefully mixing the mass. Be sure to sift the flour, combine with cocoa and baking powder, then add the ingredients into the composition. You should get a thick mass.
  2. The dough is divided into three parts and the shortcakes are baked, placing the pieces on different sheets or alternately. At 180 degrees it will take about 35 minutes. You need to make sure that the donuts do not dry out.
  3. Finished and cooled products are coated with boiled water and sent to the refrigerator for impregnation.

The following products are needed for the cake:

  • sugar – 1 glass;
  • wheat flour – 1 cup;
  • chicken eggs – 4–5 pcs.;
  • vanillin – 1 sachet;
  • a jar of toffee – ready-made or home-cooked;
  • butter – 100–120 g;
  • Baileys liqueur 2 tbsp. l.;
  • milk – 50 ml;
  • cocoa powder – 4 tbsp. l.

How to prepare a delicious dessert:

  1. First you need to make the “correct” dough so that the sponge cake comes out super soft and tender. To do this, beat the eggs with sugar and a generous pinch of vanillin. You can use a mixer or blender to bring the mixture until medium bubbles form in the foam. The volume of the sweet composition should double. For this it is better to take a higher capacity.
  2. Then sifted and mixed with cocoa flour is introduced into the workpiece. This is done in small portions with careful stirring - there should be no lumps in the dough.
  3. The purchased product is baked in the mold for about 45 minutes (180–200 degrees), readiness is checked by piercing the center with a toothpick: there should be no traces of raw dough left on the sliver. The base is cooled at room temperature, wrapped in a towel, so that the cake does not become a donkey.
  4. Next, the impregnation is prepared. Cream liqueur is perfect for an “adult” table - 2-3 tablespoons of water must be diluted with water (1:2). For children, you can make a chocolate milk soak by mixing a quarter glass with a small amount of cocoa powder and vanilla (to taste). It is also recommended to add a little cinnamon.
  5. The cooled cake is carefully cut into 2 layers with a long knife. The inside of both halves should be generously coated with the prepared syrup and the cake should be allowed to soak.
  6. To create the cream you need toffee. It is best to cook it on your own until half cooked (2-3 hours), but a thick mass from the store will also work. Beat the condensed milk with a mixer and butter in a 2:1 ratio, avoiding being particularly cloying or fatty.
  7. The sweet mass is applied to the bottom cake, covered with a “roof”, after which the cake can be processed in a narrow layer on all sides, using a pastry bag to decorate the surface. As an additive and decoration, it is useful to sprinkle the dessert with a consistency of sweet powder and cocoa, crushed nuts, or “draw” patterns from chocolate glaze and whipped cream.
