Add sifted flour in small portions and knead into a homogeneous, viscous, liquid dough. Based on its own mixture, the finished dough resembles condensed milk.

    We bake products

    1. Turn on the electric waffle iron and heat it to a suitable temperature. Before specific baking, grease the surface of the mold once with vegetable oil.
    2. Place a small amount of watery dough into the pan, and then spread it evenly over it.
    3. Close the lid and bake the product for a couple of minutes, occasionally opening the lid and assessing the brownness of the cooking waffle. Remove the finished wafer from the device and immediately wrap it in a tube. As it cools, the product hardens, and in the future it is impossible to roll it without breaking it.
    4. Place the formed waffle rolls on a large flat plate and serve.

    Necessary information

    I offer several options for the inside, which significantly enriches the taste of the waffle rolls.

    • Curd: mix a pack of cottage cheese with a packet of vanilla, 200 g of sweet powder, and then carefully stir in the beaten egg white.
    • Custard: mix 200 g of sugar with 4 eggs and beat the mixture until white. Add a packet of vanilla, 60 g of flour and 300 ml of warm milk. Then cook the filling until thickened.
    • From condensed milk: beat a can of boiled condensed milk and 125 g of butter.
    • Chocolate: grind 200 g of butter with 200 g of sweet powder. Add 50 g of cocoa powder to the resulting mixture and carefully beat the mixture with a mixer until smooth. Add 100 g of all nuts to the finished filling.

    Thin, crispy waffles

    Another recipe from my youth that my mother reminded me of – thin, actually patterned and crispy waffles. However, this recipe requires an electric waffle iron. Mother has had it at home since Russian times, carefully kept and worked diligently. And by some indescribable miracle, I bought a new one for myself, but, in fact, the same one. I even had to buy an adapter for it, because... The plug does not fit into the Euro sockets that are now installed in all houses.

    Making waffles requires a little skill, specifically at the moment of rolling them into a tube. Once you get a flexible, soft, pancake-like wafer, you immediately need to put it on the work surface and give it the desired shape - a tube or a cone. A second of delay - and it has already hardened.

    The recipe is universal - such tubes can be filled with any thick cream, or used as an ice cream cone. But we constantly crunched on them empty, so they couldn’t be more delicious.

    Ingredients:

    2 eggs
    125 g butter
    150 g sugar
    150 g flour
    50 g starch
    100 g warm water

    Preparation:

    Melt the butter in a water bath or in the microwave.

    Place the eggs and sugar in a large bowl and beat them for 8-10 minutes or until the mixture has doubled in size and is fluffy and light in color.

    Pour the warm butter into the whisking egg mixture in a thin stream. When the ingredients are combined, turn off the mixer.

    Sift the flour and starch on top and start stirring with a whisk, adding warm water from time to time.

    When the dough is smooth, set it aside for 30 minutes to rise.

    Plug in the electric waffle iron, it should warm up perfectly.

    Open it and use a brush to brush the top and bottom with melted butter.

    Depending on the size of your waffle iron, pour 1/4 to 1/2 ladle of batter into the center, then immediately cover with the top lid and press it firmly to the bottom. Hold it like this without letting go for 1.5-2 minutes. Then open the waffle iron and look - the baked dessert should be ruddy and golden in color. If it is still pale, cover again.

    Pick up the finished wafer with a narrow, flat spatula or fork and transfer to a dry work surface. Without wasting a minute, immediately roll it into a tube and set it aside.

    Prepare all the waffles in this manner.

    It is better to eat them on the same day; over time they begin to soften a little.

    I also enjoyed creating a waffle cone and filling it with ice cream. This is simply an impeccable alliance!

    Thin waffles

    Treat your loved ones to a delicious breakfast - prepare thin, crispy waffles using this recipe. They are perfectly suitable for all fillers, and even a child can prepare them.

    2. Beat for a few more minutes until smooth at medium speed. Sift flour and baking powder into the resulting mass through a sieve and beat with a mixer until smooth.
    3. You can prepare thin waffles in both an electric waffle iron and a Russian gas waffle iron. Heat the surface of the device, carefully grease it with a piece of butter and pour in a couple of spoons of dough.
    4. Cover with a lid, press down and bake the waffles for about 1-2 minutes (use your waffle iron as a guide). Transfer the waffle to a plate and bake all the other dough in this way.
    5. If you want to roll a narrow wafer into a crispy tube or cone, you need to do this while it is hot. To avoid getting burned, you can first dip your fingers in cool water and then roll them up later.
    6. Serve the finished waffles cooled (then they will be crispy), with any filling of your choice (honey, fruits, berries, ice cream, melted chocolate, whipped cream, nuts, etc.). Enjoy your tea!
