If you use frozen berries, let them thaw slightly, but not completely. Do not pour out the juice released during thawing, but add it to the smoothie.

2. Remove the stems from the berries and place them in a blender bowl.

3. Using a blender, puree the strawberries to a puree mixture.

4. Pour oatmeal into the strawberry mixture and again grind the products with a blender so that the flakes turn into small crumbs.

I made a smoothie with oatmeal for the first time. It so happens that we often prepare smoothies from various frozen berries, including frozen strawberries, at home. But for some reason they didn’t think of cooking it with oatmeal. I read a huge number of recipes on the Internet and decided to start with a smoothie with oatmeal and frozen strawberries with sugar.

All sorts of different smoothies have recently become an integral part of our menu. Smoothies made from various frozen berries, pumpkin smoothies, banana smoothies with berries. Things have been going well for me with oatmeal for many years. It would be a stretch to call them love, but a good relationship – absolutely! That is why I decided to risk a portion of cool homemade natural yogurt and proceeded to the next small culinary test.

Smoothie with oatmeal and frozen strawberries. Recipe

We will need for one serving:

Oatmeal (cereals) 2 tablespoons

Frozen strawberries with sugar 100 gr

Natural yogurt 90 ml

Pour the oatmeal into the blender bowl

beat it with chopped oatmeal,

then open the bowl and add pieces of frozen strawberry mass.

Whisk everything together as needed.

Let the smoothie sit in the refrigerator for four hours.

During this period of time, certain changes will occur with the oatmeal - it will soften and the smoothie will acquire the thickest consistency.

Serve in a glass, and best eaten with a small coffee spoon!

  • After “infusion,” the color of the smoothie became somewhat duller and grayer. probably due to the swollen oatmeal.
  • If you are freezing strawberries without sugar, add a little honey or sugar for sweetness.
  • Next time I’ll add not 2, but at least 4 tablespoons of oatmeal - it’ll be a real breakfast. Well, the smoothie mixture will turn out to be the most beautiful and it will be more convenient to eat it with a spoon.
  • I think that with fresh kefir or yogurt it will turn out just as tasty.
  • Aging in the refrigerator is mandatory and inescapable. Otherwise, the oatmeal will crunch on your teeth - tested.
  • It’s a pity that there wasn’t a banana on the farm - in a “duet” with oatmeal, it probably would have given the smoothie thickness and new colors of taste. I will definitely make a smoothie with banana and oatmeal in the near future. Watch the publications!
