For a long time she was a home pastry chef and lived in Altai. And later, in an instant, the whole family packed a couple of suitcases, got into the car and moved 4,000 km from home to a city where there was not a single acquaintance - sunny Rostov-on-Don. I really like taking photographs. At the moment, it is especially interesting to develop in food photography. Mother of 2 boys.

Prepare all ingredients. Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it comes to room temperature. Wash the walnuts well in cool water. Remove excess water with a cardboard towel. Lightly dry the nuts in a dry frying pan over medium heat for about 10 minutes, making sure they don’t burn. Grind the nuts into coarse crumbs.

Turn on the oven and preheat to 180 degrees. Using a mixer, beat the butter and sugar in a bowl. Add the egg and beat again. Sift flour and baking powder separately, add salt and chopped nuts. Mix dry ingredients with butter consistency. Knead the dough quickly. It must be soft and flexible.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and dust it with flour. Pinch off a small piece of dough and roll it into a ball the size of a walnut. Place it on the parchment and lightly press the dough crosswise with a fork to create a lattice pattern.

Bake the cookies in the middle of the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet - they will be slightly soft when hot, but when cooled they will become crispy and crumbly. Walnut cookies are ready. Bon appetit!

Making Tips:

1. Try replacing nuts with poppy seeds.
You will receive a completely new, but no less delicious cookie. 2. Ready cookies can be stored in a tightly closed container in a cool place for about 2 weeks.
