Shortbread pie with boiled condensed milk

shortbread cake with boiled condensed milk for a festive table for a birthday, New Year or Christmas, or just for Saturday tea . You can also use jam, gooseberry or reddish currant jelly, or cream of semolina porridge as the inside for this shortbread pie. The pie will be cheap and its preparation is simple and straightforward.

To bake a pie on a baking sheet measuring 20x30 cm, you need the following products:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 200 g butter margarine
  • 1 testicle
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. spoons of soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • Vanillin on the tip of a knife
  • Vinegar

The other day, before baking the pie, you need to boil a can of condensed milk. Don’t buy a can with the name “condensed milk”, this is not real milk, it is made from vegetable fats. You need to take a jar with the title “Whole condensed milk with sugar GOST 2903-78”. Place a can of milk in a saucepan, pour in water so that the can is one hundred percent covered. Place on the fire and after boiling, cook over low heat for two hours. Then remove the jar from the water and let it cool.

Sift flour through a fine sieve. Cut the margarine into pieces.

Using a chopstick in a wooden bowl, chop the margarine and flour.
Lightly beat the egg with a mixer, add a pinch of salt, vanilla on the tip of a knife, add water in two additions.

Pour soda into a tablespoon and quench with vinegar, pour into an egg with water, stir.

Pour the egg and water into the dough. Knead the dough well. Divide the dough into 4 balls.

Roll out the cake, trim the edges to the size of the baking sheet.
After placing the crust on a baking sheet, prick it with a fork to prevent it from puffing up during baking.

Preheat oven, reduce heat to medium.
Bake the shortbread until sandy brown. Roll out, trim and bake 3 more shortcakes.
Create a ball from the scraps and roll out the 5th cake without cutting the edges.
Bake. Spread any prepared shortcake with boiled condensed milk, placing the shortcakes on top of each other.

Place the 5th baked shortcake on a board and roll it out with a rolling pin to crumble it.
Sprinkle the purchased crumbs onto the top of the outermost layer of crust.
