You can create such pies without the help of others. They are delicious to eat with tea, coffee and other drinks. They are especially delicious when fresh. The inside is ordinary apple jam. The dough will be kneaded using yeast. It will be fluffy and smooth. Such pies will be appreciated by everyone who treats them. Ingredients:

  • milk – 200 ml;
  • testicles - 1 pc.;
  • sugar – 2 tbsp;
  • salt – ½ tsp;
  • flour – 500 g;
  • sunflower oil – 50 ml and 300 ml for frying;
  • apple jam;
  • sugar – 1 tbsp;
  • milk – 50 ml;
  • yeast (dry) – 5 g.

How to make pies with jam

First, we make a dough so that the dry yeast comes into action. We take warm milk, but not very hot, and certainly not bubbling. Mix sugar, milk and yeast in one bowl.

Without stirring, leave for 10-15 minutes so that a “cap” of bubbles forms on the surface.

We make the dough, which we later mix with the dough. Pour milk (also warm), add sugar and ½ tsp. salt, chicken egg and 50 ml of oil and beat.

Mix the dough with the dough and stir everything. To make it better and faster, we can use a mixer.

Add half of all wheat flour to the dough and stir.

At this point, the mixture is liquid. Add the rest of the flour to achieve the desired result. The dough will be smooth and soft. To make the dough easier to sculpt, you can grease the surface and hands with sunflower oil. Place the dough in a suitable container, cover with a towel or film so that it does not dry out.

Leave it for an hour and a half in a warm place. As time passes, we see how our dough has grown in size.

Now we form pies from small rolled out pieces of dough. We put thick jam on the center of each piece, and fasten the edges.

Place the pies seam side down.

In a deep frying pan or saucepan, heat 300 ml of odorless oil. Fry all the pies over medium heat until they are beautifully golden.

Place the finished pies on napkins to absorb excess oil.

I’ll admit for you that I don’t consider myself an experienced cook, I just have this hobby - I like to cook, take pictures and eat deliciously :) That’s why I was in no hurry to master the recipe for fried yeast pies with jam. Everyone thought that I didn’t have enough abilities. But now, having had a good experience with ordinary fried kefir pies, I took the risk of moving on to the most complex version of fried pies.

After reading recipes and watching videos about making fried pies with jam, I started implementing the recipe. True, a couple of pies “opened” slightly during the frying process, but this did not at all spoil the overall picture and pleasant memories from the process. Add a tablespoon of sugar and 5 g of dry yeast to 50 ml of warm (but not hot) milk. We will create a dough, in other words, activate the yeast.


Leave the milk and yeast alone for 10-15 minutes, without stirring anything. After a while, you will see that a yeast cap has grown on the milk.

Now we will prepare the dough for fried pies with jam. Pour 200 ml of milk into a bowl or pan, preferably warm, add 2 tablespoons of sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, one egg, 50 ml of sunflower oil and our dough. Mix everything well. I use a mixer for this purpose.


Then add half a portion of flour to the mixture.


Mix the flour into the mass and get a liquid dough.


Now add the remaining flour to the dough and knead into a homogeneous, smooth dough. The dough should be kneaded on a table greased with a small amount of sunflower oil. It is also better to lubricate your hands with oil. The dough should be completely non-sticky, but flexible and soft.

Roll the dough into a ball and place it in a greased pan or bowl. leave the dough to rise in a warm place for approximately 1-1.5 hours. It is better to cover the surface of the pan with cling film to prevent the dough from chapping.


After 1.5 hours my dough had doubled in size. You can start making pies.

Our fried pies are planned to be filled with jam. I didn’t have jam, I didn’t consider it necessary to take it. And that’s all because I had practically jam. This is thick currant jam, which I stocked up on in the summer. It does not spill, holds its shape perfectly, so it can be safely used instead of jam.


Knead the dough and divide into similar portions. Any portion is the size of an egg.

We make pies like this: first we give a piece of dough the shape of a flat cake. Place a portion of jam in the center of the flatbread, then join the edges of the pie together in the manner of making a dumpling. The seams should be joined very carefully, otherwise the pies may “crawl” during the frying process. Turn the pie seam side down and leave it on the table. We take on the next one and so on.


In a small frying pan or saucepan with thick walls and bottom, heat 300 ml of sunflower oil. Place 3-5 pies in the oil at once and fry them over medium or slightly below medium heat until golden brown. In this case, during the frying process, the pies should be “turned” from side to side for uniform production.


Serve the finished fried pies with jam to the table with drinks - tea, coffee or just milk. Enjoy it :)
