New Year's salad “The Little Mermaid” with trout

We present for you a recipe for the most delicious New Year's salad. It turns out light and satisfying. To make it, we will use the freshest trout, but you can replace it with lightly salted salmon or pink salmon. We will also add oranges to the salad; they will give it the richest taste and smell.

We prepare all our salads with homemade mayonnaise, prepared according to the recipe on our website. But you can use ready-made mayonnaise, which is sold in stores. But with homemade the taste comes out the deepest.

Products you need

  • eggs - 5 pcs
  • trout – 0.3 kg
  • oranges – 120 gr
  • olives - 1 jar
  • pickled cucumbers – 150 gr
  • sour cream cheese - 0.2 kg
  • reddish caviar - 1 jar
  • mayonnaise

We begin production

  1. Boil the eggs hard, then peel them and separate the whites from the yolks (into different bowls). Grate the whites on a small grater, chop the yolks with a knife.
  2. Cut the fish into thin slices and remove the bones. Place the fish on a flat dish, salt it well on both sides. Leave to marinate for 2-3 hours.
  3. Cut the cucumber into thin circles. Cut the olives into rings. Three cheese on a grater.
  4. We peel the orange, trying to completely remove all the film and cut it into thin pieces.
  5. We wash the salted fish and place it on a paper towel. Cut the fish into thin strips.
  6. Add salt and pepper to mayonnaise and mix.
  7. Take a dish and place a pastry ring on it. Place the egg whites on the bottom and coat them with mayonnaise. Place chopped yolks on top and place trout on them. So that everything comes out perfectly with fish pieces, very carefully lay out the edge, and lay out the other pieces as they come out. Coat the trout with mayonnaise. On top, along the side, lay a layer of orange and lightly sprinkle it with some of the prepared cheese. Then we lay out a layer of cucumbers, and on top of them a layer of olives. Again, lay out a layer of grated cheese and coat it with mayonnaise.
  8. For decoration, we lay out the outermost layer of the salad from reddish caviar. Carefully remove the pastry ring. The salad is ready and can be served.
