Take the ingredients to make Fox Coat Salad with Chicken. First, cook the chicken fillet in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes after boiling, cool.

Fry the onion in a frying pan with vegetable oil until golden brown. Wash the mushrooms (I used chanterelles), cut them into smaller pieces and add them to the frying pan with the onions, fry, stirring, for about 20 minutes over medium heat, add salt.

Cut the cooled chicken fillet into small pieces and place on a plate.

Place grated cheese on top.

Then add the fried and cooled mushrooms.

Hard-boil the eggs, cool, peel and grate, place on the cheese.

Place Korean-style carrots in the outermost layer and decorate to your liking.

I tried this salad for the first time at a party and fell in love with it. It is, of its own kind, the newest, prestigious version of everyone’s beloved Russian herring under a fur coat, but the most affectionate and fragrant.

Ingredients for “Fox Coat Salad”:

  • Potatoes (boiled in their skins, medium size) - 2 pcs.
  • Herring or iwasi (lightly salted) - 1 pc.
  • Onions (fry together with carrots, large) - 2 pcs.
  • Carrots (fry with onions, medium size) - 2 pcs.
  • Champignons (marinated, or even chopped) - 1 ban.
  • Chicken egg (boiled) - 3 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise - 1 pack.

Recipe for “Fox Coat Salad”:

Prepare ingredients for making salad:
1) boil potatoes and eggs;
2) fry the carrots and onions and immediately divide the resulting mixture into two parts;
3) clean the herring and let the champignons drain.

The salad is made in layers:
1st layer – grated potatoes on a large plate, coat with mayonnaise.

2nd layer – herring cut into pieces.

3rd layer – fried onions and carrots, first part.

The fourth layer is champignons, coated with mayonnaise.

5th layer – eggs, grated on a large grater.

The 6th and last one is a layer of onions with carrots (2nd part), which needs to be coated with a thin layer of mayonnaise, the salad takes on a reddish color, like a chanterelle.

While these salad products are cooling or cooking, disassemble the herring into fillets. To make the process easier for yourself, as well as for making mincemeat from herring, you can purchase ready-made fish fillets. Cut it into small cubes.

After cooling, peel the eggs, potatoes and carrots. These salad products are grated.

In this case, it is better to grind the eggs on a grater with the smallest holes than vegetables.

Wash the champignons and peel the onions. Cut the mushrooms lengthwise into slices, and the onions into cubes. Fry mushrooms and onions in vegetable oil for about 7 minutes.
