If you want to create an even more unique dish, add sun-dried tomatoes, cut into pieces, directly into the grated cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 kg potatoes;
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise;
  • 100 gr. hard cheese;
  • basil;
  • coriander;
  • black pepper;
  • 2 garlic cloves;
  • salt.

Manufacturing:

  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into thin slices. Place them in a separate bowl. Add mayonnaise, squeeze out the garlic, add salt and black pepper. Leave the potatoes to soak in the sauce for 30-40 minutes.
  2. Grate the cheese, add basil and coriander. Stir.
  3. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet greased or lined with parchment. Sprinkle spiced cheese on top.

The tubers are boiled, fried in oil, stewed with other vegetables, or baked in the oven. Now on my menu are fragrant potatoes in the oven with mayonnaise and garlic. The vegetables turn out very tasty, with a golden brown crust on top.

How to cook potatoes baked in the oven with cheese

Cut the skin off the potatoes, wash the tubers and cut them into round pieces about 2 cm wide.

You don’t have to add onions, but it will make it tastier and juicier. We cut the onions in half, then chop them into half rings of random thickness.

For the sauce, mix thick mayonnaise, grainy mustard, turmeric, paprika or ground chili, dark pepper. If any of the proposed spices are not suitable, we change them to the rest or select our own composition.

Mix mayonnaise, mustard and spices and rub garlic cloves into the sauce.

Pour the potatoes into a deep bowl, add some salt, pour the sauce over them and mix well so that the sauce gets onto any slice.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees in advance. Grease the mold with lard or vegetable oil. Place half of the potatoes. Scatter the onions over the potatoes.

Cover the onions with the rest of the potatoes and pour the sauce over them. Grind the cheese through a coarse grater. Sprinkle the top layer of potatoes with a fluffy layer of cheese shavings. Cover with a lid or tighten tightly with foil.

Place the potatoes in the oven and place the pan on the middle tier. Bake for about an hour, until soft. We check with a fork or knife - open the mold, pierce the potatoes to the bottom.
