Step-by-step recipe with photos
Some people like soft cookies, but I like crispy ones. This cookie combines both inside itself. In addition, it contains cottage cheese and butter, which means it has a creamy taste. All baked goods made from cottage cheese are somehow special. There is probably no person who would not like it.
There are no manufacturing secrets here; the recipe for “Heart Spirals” curd cookies is very simple. The main thing is not to tighten the dough when kneading, and for this you should not knead it for a long time. That's all.
Take all the products listed above.
In a bowl, combine the sifted flour, a pinch of salt, baking powder and vanillin, stir.
Place cottage cheese, vanillin, soft butter, egg and sugar in a separate bowl. This mixture can be punched with a blender, I just mixed until smooth with a spoon.
Now combine the curd and flour mixtures and gather the dough into a ball.
Knead it lightly, cover with film and put in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
Then divide the dough into 2 parts so that it is comfortable to work with. Keep the second part in the refrigerator. Roll out the dough into a narrow layer directly on a table sprinkled with sugar. Sprinkle the surface of the dough with sugar occasionally. When you pass the rolling pin, the sugar is pressed into the dough. Its quantity is arbitrary.
Next, start rolling the dough from the edges to the middle into rolls, on both sides at once.
Cut the resulting workpiece into uniform pieces. Lightly press any piece of dough with 2 fingers from below, forming a heart. So the “heart spiral” came out. You can additionally dip the cookies in sugar on one side.
Do the same with the 2nd part of the test. Place the cookies on a baking sheet with the sugar facing up so that they do not burn during baking. Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown. Be guided by your own oven.
Ruddy curd cookies “Heart Spirals” are ready. Enjoy your tea!
New Year's cookies "Spirals" - an original delicacy
A mandatory addition to the New Year's atmosphere is a cup of hot tea or cocoa with cookies. It’s premature that we already had to look at recipes for the famous gingerbread cookies, so in this article for us we decided to focus on the most unique delicacy - “Spiral” cookies.
Two-color cookies “Spirals”
Ingredients:
- butter or margarine – 500 g;
- eggs – 4 pcs.;
- flour – 500 g;
- sugar – 350 g;
- vanilla extract – 4-5 drops;
- cocoa powder – 1 tbsp. spoon.
Manufacturing
The production of such cookies is reminiscent of the production of the familiar grated pie from shortcrust pastry. Butter or margarine is frozen and then grated. The butter mass is ground into crumbs with flour and eggs, then sugar or powder and a few drops of vanilla extract are added.
The finished plastic dough should be divided into two equal parts, into one of which cocoa powder should be added.
Roll out part of the dough without cocoa into a rectangular layer about half a centimeter wide. We do the same with the chocolate part. Place the chocolate layer on top of the snow-white layer and roll into a tight roll. Wrap the roll in film and put it in the freezer for 20-30 minutes, after which the dough can be cut into circles and placed on a baking sheet covered with cooking paper. “Spirals” are prepared for about 15-20 minutes at 200 degrees.
Colored spirals with confetti
Colors add brightness and a good mood to the holiday, which is why the dough for one of the layers of cookies can be colored using natural or artificial food coloring.
Ingredients:
- butter – 500 g;
- flour – 2 tbsp;
- baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon;
- sugar – 1/4 tbsp. + 2/3 tbsp. powders;
- salt - a pinch;
- food coloring;
- vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon;
- confetti or colored sweet sprinkles.
Manufacturing
Mix soft butter with sugar and sweet powder. Sift the flour and baking powder into the butter mixture, add vanilla extract and knead into an elastic dough. Divide the dough into two equal parts: leave one part unstained, and mix the other with greenish dye. To add flavor to the liver, you can flavor it with a few drops of almond extract, or replace some of the wheat flour with almond flour.
Wrap both dough balls in film and leave in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes. Roll out the rested dough into a rectangle and place both parts on top of each other. Roll the dough into a spiral and roll it into confetti. Let the roll cool in the refrigerator for about 2 hours, remembering to wrap it in film beforehand.
Cut cookies from the roll and place on a sheet of baking paper. Bake colored “Spirals” at 170 degrees for 15-17 minutes.
Three-color spirals
Ingredients:
- butter – 1/2 tbsp.;
- sugar – 1/2 tbsp.;
- testicle – 1 pc.;
- baking powder – 2 tbsp. spoons;
- vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoon;
- flour – 2 tbsp;
- food coloring 3 colors.
Manufacturing
Sift the flour together with the baking powder. Beat soft butter with sugar until white, add egg and mix. Mix the dry ingredients with a butter-egg consistency, and divide the finished elastic dough into 3 parts. Mix each part with dye, wrap in film and let cool for 30 minutes. Roll the cooled dough into a rope and intertwine the ropes together in a spiral. We cut a narrow three-color rope into pieces and twist each piece into a spiral. Place the spirals on a greased baking sheet and cook for 18 minutes at 180 degrees.
