Pork ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker are to die for
Pork ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker are to die for
From time to time I want to eat a hearty, fragrant, savory dish. Almost everyone asks themselves: “What can I cook so that the drool will flow?” There is a beautiful solution to this problem - these are the most delicious pork ribs, cooked together with potatoes in a slow cooker.
There is no need to waste a lot of strength and energy, the main thing is to be in a fighting mood for cooking, because meat does not like despondency.
How to deliciously cook pork ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker?
Any piece fried until golden brown and, most importantly, crispy, just begs to be eaten. The potatoes are soaked in fat - they melt in your mouth and crumble into small pieces. This dish will satisfy any appetite, both men and women.
Due to the fact that the ribs along with potatoes are slowly stewed in a multi-cooker, any component is imbued with a special smell and taste. When you add vegetables, such as bell peppers and carrots, the dish becomes even richer. Garlic cloves add special notes to both meat and potatoes.
There is nothing languid or supernatural in production. Frying pork is very simple. The potatoes are enriched with pork fat and soften. Vegetables are stewed quickly, without using any force.
You can talk for a long time, but it’s even better to start making .
Ingredients
The ingredients that I needed can be found in any store and for completely ordinary money.
I needed the following products:
1. One and a half kilograms of pork ribs (I chose those with less fat);
2. One kilogram of potatoes (if they are young like mine, it will be cool, the dish will have a special taste);
3. Three carrots ;
4. I took two pieces of pepper
5. Three cloves of garlic ;
6. Lukovka;
7. Salt and pepper are to everyone’s taste;
8. Small pinches of basil and cumin ;
9. Soy sauce for a special taste;
10. Half a liter of water .
Let's start the magic.
The process of making ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker
I started cooking pork ribs. I painstakingly washed it under water and cut out unnecessary veins. Now divide them into pieces - cut according to the placement of the seeds.
One bone with meat - one piece. Take a deep bowl and pour three tablespoons of soy sauce and about 100 grams of water into it. Dip the cut pieces into our solution and leave for a short time.
While the pieces are absorbing the piquancy, I turn on the “Baking” mode in the multicooker (or “Frying”, it’s different for everyone), wait until it warms up and pour in a very small amount of sunflower oil.
When the multicooker has heated up to the required temperature, I throw in the pork ribs, pour over them with the dressing they were in, and leave for 20 minutes so that they are well fried without forgetting to twist.
While the ribs are cooking, I start chopping all the other components of the dish. It is best to cut the onion into small pieces or grate it. After cutting the onion, cut the carrots and the bell pepper into small pieces. Make sure that the pieces are not huge, the smaller the better, so that the flavors will mix and this will work to your advantage.
Let's get back to the ribs. After they have become golden brown and have a light crust, I add to it all the products that I cut earlier, for no more than three minutes. I stir constantly so that nothing burns or burns.
While the base was preparing, I peeled the potatoes and cut them into small pieces. There is no need to make very small ones, because in the end you may end up with puree.
I add all the chopped potatoes to the slow cooker with the meat. I mix all this carefully. I pour out about 400 grams of warm water (the water can be replaced with chicken broth). I sprinkle it all with pepper and salt and mix again. I don't change the cooking mode. I leave the dish for about 40 minutes.
While the main course is being prepared, you can prepare a light salad to go with it. For this I took two cucumbers, three tomatoes, a little cabbage, and one bell pepper.
I cut all these vegetables into small pieces, salted, peppered and seasoned with sunflower oil (you can season with olive oil, or leave in their original form so that all the juices mix and make their own dressing). This light salad will go harmoniously with our hearty dish - pork ribs with potatoes.
But this is anyone’s business; you can get by with cooking ribs with potatoes.
Let's return to the pork ribs and potatoes, which are cooked in a slow cooker. 10 minutes before serving, I changed the “Baking” mode to the “Warming food” mode. I added a pinch of basil and cumin to the dish, and threw in the cloves of garlic.
I didn’t cut the garlic because I only wanted to add a little flavor. Before serving, check whether the dish is moderately salty; if there is not enough salt, add it.
Final result
After making and serving, I was pleased with the result. The dish turned out to be very filling and tasty. The pork ribs were very tender and had a special taste due to the fact that they were soaked in soy sauce beforehand.
The potatoes from the slow cooker were soft and melted in the mouth, all because the pork fat softened them. Added spices also played a huge role in the taste; the main thing is not to overdo it so that there is no tart taste.
The garlic cloves added a delicious flavor to the dish. The whole family was very pleased with my actually prepared yummy, because it was made with love and complete dedication. No chef in the world could do it because I, I hope.
Jokes aside, we were full for the whole day and gained new strength and energy. The best part is that the dish is enough for at least four servings. So, you can safely add additives.
Useful tips
Making Tips:
1. Do not add too much water so that all the ingredients do not float. The water will take away all the juices and flavors. Everything must be in moderation.
2. Before cooking, do not forget to thoroughly rinse the multi-cooker so that past odors do not mix with those that will be cooked.
3. Make sure that there is enough soy sauce so as not to oversalt the meat. Your family will think that you are in love.
4. Try opening the lid of the multi-cooker as little as possible. This is necessary so that the odors do not disappear, but accumulate in the food.
5. Maybe you overcooked the ribs and they became quite dry. No problem, you can add a piece of lard, which will dissolve during the cooking process and provide suitable fat to the meat and potatoes.
6. If your ribs were frozen, and later you defrosted them for cooking, the meat is not at its freshest. To make it fresher, marinate it for several hours in wine and water. Because of this, it will soften the most.
7. Good advice for housewives. To make young potatoes easier to peel, soak them in water for 10 minutes. The peel will come off on its own without any extra help.
8. If you only have ancient potatoes, don’t be sad. It is necessary to cut off a thick layer of skin and what remains is completely suitable for cooking.
All you need to make ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker is a successful cooking mood. I didn’t encounter anything difficult during the cooking process. All products are universally available and ordinary. Bon appetit to you and connoisseurs of your culinary talent.

Cooking stewed pork ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker
Pork is a very soft, tender meat that cooks quickly. Let's talk about brisket, and specifically about ribs. Anatomically, this highest part of the sternum includes the ribs themselves (their middle part), a muscle layer and a small layer of fat. This part of the carcass cooks very quickly, like the rest of the parts with bones. When heated, the bones become very hot, and the flesh on them becomes tender and fragrant, and simply falls away from the bone.
Probably every man loves to eat tasty food, especially if it is a portion of juicy and tasty meat. After thinking about this, I decided to cook a wonderful dish for dinner - pork ribs with potatoes. How to cook pork ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker
- We carefully wash the pork ribs in running water, wipe dry and cut into portions.
- Transfer the meat to a bowl and season with spices to taste. For example, I use salt, dark ground pepper and fragrant seasoning to prepare meat dishes. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour a sufficient amount of vegetable oil into the multicooker bowl. Set the “Frying” function for 15 minutes (or “Baking” for some other models of multicookers). Place the cooked ribs in a bowl and cook for 5 minutes on one side, and then turn the meat over to the other side and fry as well.
- Meanwhile, peel and cut a large onion into thin half rings.
- Add the onion to the fried ribs and continue cooking on the selected mode for another 5 minutes without closing the multicooker lid.
- Let's peel and wash the potatoes. Grind it into small strips or slices.
- Once the onions have acquired a pleasant ruddy color and the meat has a golden crust, add chopped potatoes to them. Add a little more salt to taste and mix. Pour a portion of drinking water over the meat and potatoes and switch to the “Stew” mode for 1 hour.
After this time, an indescribably satisfying and authentic second dish came out, like a stew - ribs with potatoes, stewed in a slow cooker.

Recipe duet: ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker
I would like to bring to your attention another option for making ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker . The ribs are first fried and then steamed. The potatoes are cooked from below in the “pilaf” mode. Thanks to this, the ribs are very tender and juicy, the meat just falls off the bone. And the potatoes are stewed and come out with a ruddy side and very fragrant! Perhaps, these potatoes in a slow cooker are the most delicious of all the options that I have already prepared. The ribs taste very much like kebab due to the marinade and onions.
Ingredients:
- pork ribs – about 1 kg
- mayonnaise – 2 tbsp. spoons
- adjika – 2 tbsp. spoons (I have homemade, medium spicy)
- onions – 2-3 pcs.
- potatoes – 1.5 kg
- vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon
- salt pepper
Manufacturing:
Wash the ribs, dry with a cardboard towel, cut into portions depending on size (three to four ribs), salt and pepper to taste.
You can add all your favorite meat spices. Then pour mayonnaise and adjika, mix and leave to marinate. Peel the potatoes and chop them coarsely. Do not cut the onion into thin rings, do not separate them into individual rings.
Lightly grease the multicooker bowl with vegetable oil, place the ribs, turn on the “baking” mode and set the time to 60 minutes.
Attention! Be careful when turning the ribs so you don't scratch the delicate coating of the bowl!
Fry the ribs on the “meat” side for 25 minutes, then turn over and fry for another 15 minutes.
Place the fried ribs into a steamer net.
Place the onion in the slow cooker and fry it in the acquired juice from the ribs, stirring gently from time to time, until the signal.
Place the prepared onion on the ribs.
Place the potatoes in a bowl, add one glass of water, lightly add salt and stir. You can sprinkle with herbs.
Attention!
It is better not to add too much salt to the potatoes. When cooking, juices from the ribs will drip onto it, adding salt! Place the steamer net on top of the potatoes. Set the “pilaf” mode.
Ribs with potatoes in a slow cooker are ready!
