Minimum time - maximum usefulness
One of the most necessary recipes is steamed pollock. This dish is suitable for virtually anyone, even those who are on a diet. In addition, steaming fish in a slow cooker is very simple. This activity will require a minimum of time and effort from you, but the food will be simply delicious.
- pollock fillet (you can use steak) - half a kilogram;
- salt and spices (to taste);
- lemon - half;
- mineral water - 2 glasses.
- First you need to properly defrost the fillet (how to do this is described above).
- Then cut the fish into pieces.
- Each slice of pollock needs to be rubbed with salt and spices (a mixture of peppers and dry herbs, for example, dill or basil, are in perfect harmony with the fish given to us; ground coriander will also give an indescribable smell).
- Pour water into the multicooker bowl, and place a container for steaming on top, which you previously cover with foil (this is necessary so that the fish cooks in its own juices and comes out juicy).
- Select the “Steam cooking” mode, cooking time is from 20 minutes to half an hour (it all depends on the power of the kitchen device, as well as the size of the fillet pieces).
- After the allotted time, move the finished pollock to a separate plate, and pour the liquid remaining in the foil on top, then sprinkle the dish with lemon juice (you can use olive oil or soy sauce instead).
This cool dish will be complemented by a salad of new vegetables. Rice, buckwheat and boiled potatoes are especially good as a side dish for pollock.

Steamed pollock in a slow cooker
Steamed pollock in a slow cooker is excellent for dietary nutrition. This is a common, affordable, widely available fish with a valuable source of protein and essential fatty acids.
Tips for steaming pollock in a slow cooker
What is needed to cook delicious steamed pollock? If the household has a multicooker, the task is already half completed. It is necessary to install a special steam container in it, select the appropriate one among the programs - “Steam”, then, according to the manufacturer’s instructions and recipe, select the time and temperature (if the multicooker device allows). There are programs that are very extensive, then you should choose one that involves steaming specifically fish.
In order for the fish to be as tasty as possible, before production begins, all bones should be removed, as well as the narrow film that covers the fillet from the inside. After production, if the film is not removed in advance, the dish may have a bitter taste. Unlike the inner film, the outer film (i.e. skin) does not need to be removed. It, just like fillet, contains many necessary parts, but there are no harmful substances. This cannot be said about the narrow film covering the fillet from the inside.
Steamed pollock in a slow cooker: recipes
Steamed food is usually prepared for those who have health problems, for children, or for people who are trying to adhere to a healthy diet. Below is a selection of the best recipes for making such a dish; I also suggest reading recipes for pollock with marinade and onions here.
Diet pollock
For the dietary version of production, you will only need fresh frozen fish and salt. And, of course, a slow cooker.
How to steam pollock in a slow cooker:
First, the fish must be filleted. The skin can be tossed or removed as desired. Be sure to remove all the fins and bones, as well as the inner film, thoroughly wash them, and cut them into pieces of the desired size.
- Pour a small amount of water into the multicooker bowl, place the fillet on a container for steaming, and place on top of the bowl.
- Select the appropriate mode for production, the recommended time is 25 minutes. During this period of time, it is not recommended to open the lid; only 5 minutes before the end of cooking, you should salt the fillet with “Extra” salt.
- After a sound signal indicating production, carefully remove the product from the container. Even the freshest fish prepared using this method is very easily destroyed and broken, so the product should be handled especially delicately.

In such a menu, you can eat cod fish, which includes pollock.
The best dishes for ulcers are those prepared with zucchini, carrots or pumpkin. Below is a recipe for making it with carrots, but with zucchini or pumpkin you can prepare it in the same way - only the processing of the vegetables will differ: you will need to peel it, remove seeds, and cut it into large cubes.

- pollock - 1 pc.
- Clean the fish and cut into pieces of the desired size. It is better to completely separate the fillet from the bones and eat it without skin.
- Peel the carrots, cut large ones in half lengthwise, throw medium or small ones whole.
- Place the chopped fillet in a single layer in a special container and place the carrots on top of it. It is better not to add salt, but if you use salt, then only in small quantities, certainly small, of the “Extra” class.
- Place the container in the multicooker.
- Pour water into the bowl and set the “Steam” mode. Manually set the time - 30 minutes. The countdown starts from the moment the water in the bowl boils.
- After a sound signal indicating the end of production, the fish and carrots can be removed from the container.
- Ulcer sufferers can only eat the dish when it has cooled down, not hot. Therefore, at first you need to wait for the dish to cool down, then it can be served. To speed up the cooling process of the fillet, carrots can be cut with a knife into the smallest pieces.
