  • Apple jam – 1 tbsp;
  • Flour – 2 tbsp;
  • Milk – ½ cup;
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp;
  • Testicles – 2 pcs;
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp;
  • Dry yeast – 2 tsp;
  • Salt – a pinch.

  • In a small ladle, heat the milk to a temperature of 30–40 C.
  • Take the eggs out of the refrigerator in advance so that they warm up slightly.
  • Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add sugar and one egg, mix.
  • Place the mixture in a warm space for 10 minutes, covered with a clean towel. During this period of time, the yeast will enter the active phase and a fluffy cap will appear on the surface of the milk.
  • It’s great to sift the flour and combine it with milk in small portions. Knead the mixture with your hands until the mixture is homogeneous for 8–10 minutes, and at the end of the kneading add vegetable oil. Place the dough in a warm place to rise.
  • After half an hour, knead the dough that has risen and increased in volume and let it rise a second time.
  • After 40 minutes, divide the yeast dough into 2 parts in a ratio of 3:1.
  • Roll out a huge part into a layer slightly larger than the base of the baking dish and place it in it. It is better to cover the bottom with baking paper or grease it with butter and sprinkle with flour. The thickness of the rolled dough should not exceed 15 mm. Wrap the excess on the sides with a flagellum, forming the sides of the future pie.
  • Place apple jam on top of the yeast base and smooth it out with a spoon.
  • Roll out the remaining dough, cut into strips and, having rolled them into flagella, place them on top of the inside, pressing the ends to the sides.
  • Brush the top of the pie with beaten egg and let rest for 15-20 minutes.
  • In an oven preheated to 200-220° C, an open pie with apple jam is baked for about 30 minutes.

The design of the pie can be anything you want. Figured ribbons made of dough, flowers or petals will make the cake more decorated - it would be appropriate to place such a culinary masterpiece even in the center of a festive table.

  7. Using a large grater, grate the remaining half of the dough onto the filling and spread moderately over the surface.
  8. Place the grated pie with jam in the oven and bake at 180-190º C for about 25 minutes. The time may be increased depending on the type of stove.
