3. Add sausage, pepper and other seasonings, salt to taste. Mix. Cover and cook until the potatoes are cooked through (approximately 7-10 minutes).

  • potatoes – 4-5 pieces (large);
  • sausage – 500 gr;
  • onions – 1 piece (medium);
  • carrots – 1-2 pieces (large);
  • vegetable oil - for frying;
  • water - depends on the dishes;
  • tomato paste - to taste (optional);
  • salt, pepper, other spices - to taste.

Recipe

1. Cut the peeled onion into small cubes.

2. Heat a cauldron or pan (necessarily with a thick bottom) with vegetable oil. Add onion and fry over medium heat until translucent.

3. Cut the sausage into thin slices or cubes, then add to the onion. Fry until the edges of the sausage pieces begin to brown.

4. Cut the peeled potatoes into cubes, carrots into circles.

5. Add potatoes and carrots to the pan and stir.

6. Pour in water (must cover the layer of potatoes). Salt, pepper, add other seasonings and spices to taste. You can add tomato paste.

7. Bring the contents of the pan to a boil. Simmer the dish until the carrots and potatoes become soft and almost all the water has evaporated.

  • potatoes – 500 gr;

It is best to use home-made sausages, although you can also purchase a ready-made semi-finished product; any sausages are suitable: pork, beef or chicken, chilled, in natural casing. The exact baking time will depend on what they are stuffed with (chicken cooks faster) and on the thickness of the sausages (thin ones will be ready in 40 minutes). For this recipe, it is best to use potatoes from an old harvest rather than young ones; the taste will be the most intense, the slices will remain whole, crispy on the outside and crumbly on the inside.

Experienced cooks know that potatoes are baked in the oven for quite a long time, and sausage, if placed in a mold together with potatoes, will simply burn until the potatoes are cooked. Therefore, we will cheat a little and prepare the potatoes before baking.

Choose good quality smoked sausage for the dish (preferably homemade). It will give the potatoes a slight smoky flavor and make the dish more interesting.

How to cook “Potatoes with sausage in the oven” step by step with photos at home

For our work we will need potatoes, smoked sausage, sunflower oil, garlic, salt, ground black pepper, reddish ground pepper, dry basil, dried parsley.

Peel 500 grams of potatoes, wash them, cut them into medium slices and place them in a pan with cool water (about 1 liter of water). Bring to a boil over high heat, and then simmer over low heat for exactly 2 minutes.

Place the potatoes in a colander, drain and leave for 5-6 minutes to dry the potatoes.

Meanwhile, combine 35 ml of sunflower oil, 5 grams of salt, 1 gram of ground black pepper and 2 grams of ground red pepper. Mix with a whisk.
