Fried squid with onions in butter
It is not recommended to keep squid meat in boiling water for a long time; it will become hard and unappetizing. The situation can be improved. If you overcooked the squid at the initial stage, continue cooking it further. After 20 minutes the meat will become soft again.
It is better to fry squid meat in butter. It acquires a soft, gentle taste. Fried squid with onions in butter should be served hot.
Recipe ingredients:
- squid 1 kg.
- onions 2-3 pcs.
- butter 2 tbsp. spoons
- bunch of dill and parsley
- salt, freshly ground pepper
- Thaw the squid carcasses naturally. Pour boiling water over it and add a ladle of cool water to the bowl with the squid. Clean the squid from the film and entrails. Cut into rings.
- Peel the onion and cut into half rings. Heat the butter in a frying pan. Fry the onion until soft. As the onions begin to brown, add the squid. Cook, stirring, 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve with soft snow-white bread.

Fried squid with mushrooms and onions
