Pancakes with mineral water

Pancakes with mineral water

Cooking: 30 minutes

Pancakes made with mineral water are sometimes called “patterned” pancakes, because when baking, many small holes appear on the products.

Manufacturing Aspects

  • In addition to highly carbonated mineral water, milk is also added.
  • Baked pancakes should not be thick, so you should not pour a lot of batter into the pan.
  • Be sure to add sunflower oil to the flour mixture. Thanks to this, when baking, there is no need to grease the pan before the next portion of dough.

These pancakes are served with sour cream, jam, honey and berry sauce.

Even inexperienced cooks can make thin pancakes with holes in mineral water. The whole secret to working with pancake dough is that it needs to be given time to rest after adding flour - approximately 15-20 minutes. Then it becomes thicker and the pancakes do not tear during baking.

In this recipe, I will tell you how to cook thin pancakes in mineral water with a salty taste - this is a traditional option, but you can add sweet sand or honey to the dough along with salt, and your baked goods will turn from salty to sweet. Mineral water is responsible for the holes in the dough, so you only need to get highly carbonated water - it will create abundant foam. It is better to sift the flour before adding, and use vegetable oil without a strong odor.

Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Beat chicken eggs into a deep bowl, add salt to taste. Beat with a whisk, fork or mixer - as desired.

Pour highly carbonated mineral water into the egg mass and mix immediately.

Add sifted premium wheat flour and mix thoroughly so that no lumps form.

Pour vegetable oil into the dough, mix again and let rest for 15-20 minutes.

By this time, heat the frying pan and grease it with vegetable oil for the first time. Pour in a portion of dough and roll out onto the pan. Bake the pancake on one side for 1 minute and flip over to the other. Bake for half a minute and remove.

In this way, fry the remaining dough in portions.

Place on a plate and let cool slightly. Thin pancakes with holes mixed in mineral water can be served instead of bread, taken with you to work, on a trip, or wrapped in various meat fillings (used instead of pita bread).

Mineral water pancakes - recipe for how to cook thin pancakes with and without eggs

Pancakes made with mineral water are tasty, very elastic, and tender. You can use plain or sparkling water, add milk, and there are also recipes that do not use eggs. From the various options, choose the one that will be good for you - good taste is guaranteed in any case.

But one recipe for success may not be enough. Therefore, to begin with, we hasten to share a few tips that will make cooking the most convenient, and the pancakes the most delicious and beautiful.

Useful tips

  • The right dishes. To make the dough, it is better to use the deepest dishes. This makes it more convenient to “act” with a whisk or submersible mixing technique.
  • Suitable oil. Any recipe for pancakes with mineral water involves the use of refined vegetable oil. It does not change the taste of the dish, unlike unrefined.
  • Room temperature ingredients. The dough should stand at room temperature for about half an hour, after which it is mixed: then the components will interact better and the desired homogeneity will be achieved. Thanks to all this, the mass flows better, and the pancake is easy to twist.
  • Individual mixing. The pancake mixture can be prepared in a blender or food processor, but mineral water must be added separately and the dough must be kneaded together by hand. Stir the mixture occasionally as it bakes, because it tends to settle.
  • Getting rid of sticking. If the dough gets stuck on the ladle, it is enough to lower the bowl with cool water before each scooping. This, by the way, is true for pancakes and even dumplings. And so that the pancakes themselves do not stick to the bottom when frying, the frying pan must be well heated before oiling.

Milk dough for pancakes

In this recipe for gas-water pancakes, water is used in equal proportions with milk. The amount of flour is given as an approximate amount, because it is necessary to judge by the thickness of the dough: it should resemble a store-bought drink.

Almost everything depends on the properties of the flour and the fat content of the milk. If the dough seems a little watery for you, you can add more flour to it, but if you would like thin pancakes to come out, try not to add too much.

  • milk - 300 ml;
  • gas water - 300 ml;
  • egg - 1 piece;
  • sugar - 2 tablespoons;
  • salt - 0.5 teaspoons;
  • butter - 40 grams;
  • flour - about 250 grams.
  1. Mix the egg with milk.
  2. Pour in gas-water, sweet sand, salt and mix everything.
  3. Melt the butter (you can use it in the microwave) and combine with the dough.
  4. Add flour in portions, immediately stirring the dough and monitoring its structure.
  5. Pour it into a hot frying pan using a ladle, quickly distributing the liquid along the bottom.
  6. Stack the items.

On slightly carbonated water

These pancakes are made without milk, with slightly carbonated water. Don't let the lack of milk bother you - the dish turns out very tasty. You can cook these pancakes in a frying pan without oil, because sunflower oil is included in the dough. They are soft, turn over well and do not tear.

  • lightly carbonated water - 0.5 liters;
  • testicle - 5 pieces;
  • salt - 1 teaspoon;
  • sugar - 4 teaspoons;
  • soda (slaked) - half a teaspoon;
  • flour - 300 grams;
  • sunflower oil - 5 tablespoons.
  1. Mix mineral water, beaten eggs, sweet sand, salt, soda.
  2. Add flour and achieve homogeneity of the mass.
  3. Pour in the oil and stir again.
  4. Heat the frying pan and bake.

On highly carbonated water

In this recipe for pancakes with sparkling water, oil is included in the composition and is used to prevent the pancakes from sticking to the pan when baking. The mass should turn out to be fluid, but at the same time slightly viscous, like fairly thick sour cream.

  • table mineral water (strong carbonation) - 500 ml;
  • flour - 200-250 grams;
  • eggs - 5 pieces;
  • butter (75% fat) - 70 grams;
  • sunflower oil, refined - 50 grams;
  • salt - 5 grams;
  • sugar - 10 grams.
  1. Beat the eggs, add salt and sweet sand to them.
  2. Pour in a fifth of the soda and continue stirring.
  3. Add flour, whisk to avoid the formation of lumps.
  4. Melt the butter (in the microwave or steam), cool slightly, and add evenly into the dough. Meanwhile, continue whisking.
  5. Pour in the rest of the mineral water evenly. When the mixture becomes least thick, start beating more slowly.
  6. Add sunflower oil, stir lightly.
  7. Heat a frying pan and spread refined vegetable oil over it with a brush.
  8. Using a ladle, pour out the batter and fry the pancakes over medium heat.

Lenten recipe with still mineral water

Appetizing-looking and wonderful-tasting porous leaflets are obtained even when using non-carbonated table water and without eggs (as in the photo), they melt in the mouth. To do this, you need soda, which is previously extinguished with lemon juice or citric acid dissolved in ordinary water.

  • flour - 1.5 cups;
  • water - 2 glasses;
  • sugar - 1 tablespoon;
  • salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • lemon juice - 2 tablespoons;
  • soda - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • sunflower seed oil - 3 tablespoons.
  1. Dissolve salt and sugar in mineral water.
  2. Sift the flour, add it to the water, and mix thoroughly until smooth.
  3. Extinguish the soda, add it to the total mass, stir - let bubbles appear.
  4. Pour in the oil and stir again.
  5. Start baking.

Choose any recipe for pancakes with mineral water, and it will amuse you with its extraordinary simplicity and ease of production. The pancakes will be attractive in appearance, transparent and delicate in taste. They will amuse your loved ones and will be an ideal solution for a festive table.
