Video recipe: Rolls with sour cream
Step-by-step recipe with photos and videos
Prepare the products for the rolls with sour cream. It is best to take the butter out of the refrigerator onto the kitchen counter an hour before starting work, so that it becomes soft.
Pour sugar into a bowl, beat in an egg.
Put soft butter there.
Beat these ingredients with a mixer until a homogeneous consistency is obtained. Add soda, stir.
Sift all the flour.
Knead the dough first with a spoon, then with your hands.
The dough should be soft and not stick to your hands.
Separate a small piece from the total dough mass. Roll into a sausage the width of your finger, connecting the ends in the form of a ring. Do this with the entire dough.
Line a baking sheet with baking parchment and place all the rolls on it.
Bake the rolls with sour cream in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle the finished rolls with sweet powder and serve.

Sour cream rolls
In order to create the fluffiest rolls, you need to use particularly finely ground flour, or, as it is also called, “dark bread.” With it, baked goods come out the most delicious and fluffy. But, if you do not have the ability to purchase this product, you can use regular wheat. The main thing is to sift the product a couple of times using a sieve (3-4 times).
Ingredients
- Sour cream 200 g
- Butter 200 g
- Chicken eggs 2 pcs.
- Wheat flour 300 g
- Table salt 3 g
- Sweet sand 90 g
- Baking powder 5 g
Manufacturing
Melt the butter on the stove, but be careful not to let it boil. While it cools, in a deep bowl, lightly beat the eggs with sugar using a whisk. Add sour cream at room temperature and stir thoroughly. Then pour in the cooled oil. In a separate container, combine the sifted flour with baking powder and salt. Take a spoon and start stirring the egg-sour cream liquid, gradually adding flour. The result should be a homogeneous mixture without any lumps.
Sprinkle the work surface with flour (the ingredients indicate the amount only for making the base, without dusting the table), remove the workpiece from the bowl and knead the dough. It should be elastic, but not tight.
Cut the workpiece into small strips. Roll out each one individually, giving it the shape of a plump tube. Then connect the ends of the tube, thereby closing the circle and forming balls. If the dough is very sticky to your hands, it means you have under-kneaded it slightly. For greater convenience, you can lightly grease your hands with vegetable oil.
Grease the baking sheet with butter; it is more convenient to do this with the melted product using a culinary silicone brush or a cotton pad. Lay out the prepared circles, keeping a distance of at least one and a half centimeters from each other. Place the baking sheet in an oven previously preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 15 minutes. The delicacy should only brown a little and rise.
Delicious, like grandma’s, fluffy sour cream rolls without yeast, prepared in the oven at home according to a recipe with step-by-step photos, are ready. Serve warm with hot tea or milk, just like in childhood. You can eat it as a snack with berry jam, sour cream or condensed milk. You can sprinkle some sweet powder or cinnamon on top. Bon appetit!
