  4. Combine flour with baking powder and add evenly to the dough, kneading gently with a spoon.

Lemon poppy seed cake in the oven

By adding lemons to the poppy seed cake, you not only make the baked goods taste more distinctive, but also supply it with useful vitamin C, which is contained in the zest of lemons.

Manufacturing time: 1 hour 15 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 3 chicken eggs;
  • 250 gr. Sahara;
  • zest of 2 small lemons;
  • 2 tablespoons honey;
  • 1 bag of confectionery poppy seeds;
  • 150 gr. butter;
  • 350 gr. wheat flour;
  • a teaspoon of soda;
  • salt - to taste.

Manufacturing:

  1. Beat the eggs with a mixer. Add salt, sugar and lemon zest. Beat the mixture one more time.
  2. Combine soft butter with honey and poppy seeds, add to the egg mixture.
  3. Pour baking soda and sifted flour into the dough. Mix the mixture well with a spoon so that there are no lumps.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a baking dish with butter or margarine and pour the dough onto it.
  5. Bake for about 50 minutes. Decorate the finished cake with poppy seeds and sesame seeds. Bon appetit!

Orange poppy seed cake

This cake has an extraordinary taste, pleasant smell and solemn appearance. The orange pulp for the recipe is cut into small pieces, which gives the baked goods a typical charm.

I was very surprised by this recipe, because I made it just like that, from what I had in stock. But he turned out to be so affectionate and delicious that I decided to add him to our website.

Fragrant and delicious homemade poppy seed cake, which we will prepare in a slow cooker. Baking will delight lovers of poppy seeds, juicy, moderately crumbly crumb and crispy crust. This type of cake can be stored perfectly for several days without losing its freshness - it will go perfectly with a cup of morning coffee.

I offer the poppy seed cake recipe for a multicooker (I have a Scarlett SC-411, device power 700 W, bowl size 4 l). If for some reason you have not yet received this necessary electrical appliance, you can cook the cake in a regular oven. I advise you to use a mold with a diameter of 20-24 centimeters, having previously greased it with vegetable oil (butter + flour). The baking time depends on the features of the oven, but set the temperature to 175-190 degrees and bake on a medium level until dry.

Making a dish step by step:

To make a poppy seed cake, we will need the following ingredients: premium wheat flour, butter (at least 72% fat), sweet sand and vanilla sugar (for smell and sweetness), large chicken eggs (each weighing 55-60 grams), milk at least what fat content (I took 2.5%), also baking powder. Before all this, you need to prepare confectionery poppy seeds (100 grams). Here you decide for yourself which option you like best. Firstly, you can simply fry the seeds in a dry frying pan - this way the poppy seeds will turn out crispy and especially fragrant. Secondly, it can be crushed until milk is released. You can pass the seeds through a meat grinder, beat them in a food processor, or use an immersion blender. I like it when these crispy seeds are in the finished baked goods in their entirety, so I simply dry them, stirring them constantly, and let them cool.

Next, prepare the dry mixture: mix 350 grams of wheat flour (I use premium grade Lidskaya, but I think first grade will do) with 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder. After this, sift through a fine sieve.
