The marble cake according to this recipe comes out very tasty and decorated thanks to the combination of vanilla and chocolate dough.
There is nothing complicated in the recipe; the marble cake is prepared very simply and quickly. But the beauty of it lies in the fact that you can diversify both the design of the cupcake and its taste. How to create it? I'll tell you carefully.

How to make marble cake
Ingredients:
- Butter – 250 g
- Egg – 3 pcs.
- Sugar – 150 g
- Vanilla sugar – 10 g
- Wheat flour – 220 g
- Milk – 100 ml
- Baking powder – 1 tsp. (with a slide)
- Cocoa powder – 2 tsp. (with a slide)
- Dark chocolate – 60 g
Manufacturing:
Prepare traditional cake dough.
First you need to beat the butter (200 g) with sugar until almost snow-white. Don’t forget, the butter must be slightly melted so that it whips well. But at the same time, I would not recommend heating the oil in advance. Otherwise, delamination may occur already at the initial step. Add vanilla sugar or vanillin to the whipped sweet butter - use the product you are used to.
Now you need to beat the eggs into the dough one at a time, carefully beating the mixture each time.
The time has come for torment. It is necessary to sift the flour for baking, then the dough will be porous and will rise well. After all, when we sift flour, we not only get rid of random debris, but also saturate it with oxygen.
So, add the sifted flour, baking powder and milk (don’t forget, the milk must always be at room temperature, so like butter, it must be taken out of the refrigerator in advance). Knead the dough well until smooth. Ready!
It's time to turn to magic: we will turn an ordinary vanilla cupcake into a marble one. To do this, you need to create another type of dough - chocolate. But don't be alarmed, you don't have to start all over again. Divide the vanilla dough into equal parts. Set one aside temporarily; we won’t need it for now.
But to the 2nd part of the dough you need to add cocoa powder. If you like a pronounced chocolate flavor in the dough, then add slightly more cocoa. Just in this case, do not forget that by increasing the amount of one dry ingredient, you need to reduce the amount of the other dry ingredient by exactly the same amount. What do I want to say with this? If you decide to add not two teaspoons of cocoa, but all four, then you need to put 2 teaspoons less flour in the dough than originally planned. Then the balance of goods will be completely maintained.
So, mix the dough with cocoa powder well. We get the 2nd type of dough - chocolate.
It is very convenient to use special cupcake molds for baking cupcakes. But if you have not yet acquired similar forms, then bake the marble cake completely in any form, it is unlikely that you will have nasty surprises. If you are using silicone molds, then just rinse them with cool water and you can immediately fill them with dough.
I have a glass mold, like an iron one, it needs to be prepared for baking. I’m used to doing it the old fashioned way: I grease it with a piece of butter, then sprinkle it with flour. So that there is no excess flour left on the pan, feel free to turn the pan over and shake it off lightly: all the excess will immediately fall away, and only the required minimum will remain. Don't forget that it's time to turn on the oven.
Now put the dough into the mold. There are a huge number of methods for arranging dough for a marble cake: you can put it randomly, you can correctly re-layer the black and light layers, you can use a cornet and give the future cake any kind of outline. I usually follow the most common path: I alternately spoon out the vanilla and then the chocolate mixture with a spoon, placing them on top of each other, and the dough spots themselves spread into unusual shapes.
In order for the dough to be moderately distributed in the pan, you need to lightly tap the pan with the dough on the table a couple of times, in this case you will avoid voids and unevenness during baking.
It is better to bake a marble cake at a temperature of 170-180 degrees for about 45-50 minutes. But in any case, you need to focus on your oven, and readiness to inspect with a wood stick (as soon as the stick is 100% dry, you can turn off the oven - the cake is ready).
While the marble cupcake is baking, let's prepare the chocolate icing (you can, of course, do without the icing, but ask your child if the cupcake needs icing, I think you understand the answer).
It is necessary to time the preparation of the glaze so that it is not yet frozen when the cake actually cools down.
We will create the glaze using the simplest method: melt butter (50 g) and dark chocolate (60 g). I foolishly occasionally make a water bath or place a bowl on the stove. I usually use a microwave oven for these purposes. Adjust the microwave power, reduce it by about half from the highest setting. Mix chocolate bars and pieces of butter into a glass bowl. Melt for a couple of minutes, stirring occasionally to achieve homogeneity. The glaze is ready, let it cool.
The finished marble cake also needs to be cooled. While the cake is still hot, I run a knife along the edge of the pan, separating the cake from the pan. Later, I put the mold on a damp kitchen towel for about 30 minutes. After this, I very simply take the finished cake out of the mold and continue to cool, preferably on a wire rack.
A slightly warm marble cake can be topped with slightly cooled glaze.
Once the cake has completely cooled down, it can be cut into pieces and served. Very tasty! Marble cake according to this recipe goes well with tea, coffee, and cool milk. Be sure to bake it - and this recipe can completely become your lifesaver when you quickly need a unique dessert.

A marble cake, very beautiful, delicious, with a wonderful butter dough, can be made from virtually nothing. The ingredients for making the cake are always in the house, and Marble Cake is prepared simply and quickly. My English friends shared the recipe with me and I give it to you.
Ingredients for Marble Cake:
Dough
- Wheat flour / Flour - 500 g
- Baking powder - 3 tsp.
- Soda - 1 tsp.
- Salt - ½ tsp.
- Sugar - 2 ½ cups.
- Cocoa powder - ½ cup.
- Water - 6 tbsp. l.
- Butter (room temp.) - 375 g
- Vanillin - 1 tsp.
- Chicken egg (room temp.) - 5 pcs.
- Milk (room temp.) - ½ cup.
Glaze
- Cocoa powder – 35 g
- Sweet powder - 1 cup.
- Milk (adjust based on suitable mixture) - 5 tbsp. l.

Marble Cake Recipe:
3 cups of flour (500 g)
3 tsp.
baking powder 1 tsp.
soda ½ tsp.
salt 2 ½ cups.
sugar ½ cup.
cocoa 6 tbsp.
l. water 1 ½ cups.
(375 g.)sl. oil com. pace. 1 tsp.
vanilla 5 eggs
½ cup. milk
1/3 cup
cocoa 1 cup
sweet powder 3-4 tbsp. l. milk, adjust based on suitable mixture
1. Preheat the oven to 175 *C.
Grease a 23x23 pan with butter and sprinkle with flour. 2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl.
Set aside. 3. In a medium bowl, stir together ½ cup sugar, cocoa powder, and water until smooth;
set aside. 4. In the bowl of a mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Add the remaining 2 cups of sugar evenly.
Increase speed to medium-high and beat until mixture is smooth, about 4 minutes.
Add vanilla, and then eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition and scraping the edges of the mixer if necessary.
On low speed, add dry ingredients in three additions, alternating with milk, until combined.
5. Add 3 cups of batter to cocoa mixture and stir until smooth.
Place a spoonful of snow-white dough in the prepared pan, then a spoonful of chocolate dough over the regular dough in a checkerboard pattern, see photo.
Repeat the 2nd layer identically to the first, ending with chocolate dough.
6. Bake the pie for 55-60 minutes.
7. Remove the finished pie from the oven and cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn it over and cool completely on a wire rack.
8. Create the glaze: Mix cocoa and sweet powder.
Add milk, add 1 tablespoon if necessary to achieve the desired mixture.
Pour warm or cooled cake.

Marble cake is not only a very tasty, but also quite unusual-looking pastry. You can prepare it at home to amuse guests at a holiday or your family during the weekend.
Marble cake “Thirty Minutes”
Before you start cooking, you should make sure that you have all the necessary ingredients in the kitchen. These include:
- 150 g butter (softened in advance);
- 130 g sweet sand;
- 120 g sifted flour;
- 4 s. l. cocoa;
- 3 testicles (medium size);
- 1 tsp. baking powder.
Main stages of production:
Sweet sand and butter cut into pieces are mixed in a deep container. They must be thoroughly beaten (preferably with a mixer) so that the mixture becomes homogeneous and the color of the oil changes to snow-white.
In the next step, the freshest eggs at room temperature are driven in. And still painstakingly continues to beat with a mixer.
Pour flour with baking powder into a separate bowl and mix with the remaining ingredients in three additions. All this is necessary so that lumps do not form and the dough comes out soft and tender. Don’t forget to whisk the ingredients well all this time.
Approximately ¼ of the entire mass is transferred to another deep bowl. The most convenient way to do this is with a spoon or silicone spatula. Cocoa is added to the smallest part of the dough. Some chefs also advise sifting it through a small sieve, but this is not absolutely necessary. Everything gets mixed up again.
The cocoa mass is again transferred to a huge bowl and mixed with it with “lazy” movements. In other words, 3-4 turns of the spoon will be completely enough. It is better for the dough to stand quietly for 5-10 minutes, and during this period of time it is necessary to prepare a baking dish. It is greased with butter and covered with baking paper on top.
The marble dough is laid out very evenly in the mold. If necessary, it can be “compacted” with a wooden spatula. The mold is placed in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25-35 minutes.
After baking, the marble cake, so to speak, will burst in the center - this is completely normal, so don’t worry about the little things. Such pastries can be served either warm or cool, along with tea or other hot drinks.
Recipe with chocolate glaze
The next version of the marble cake can also be prepared very quickly, and then enjoy its excellent taste and smell.
Ingredients:
- 250 g soft butter;
- 220 g sifted flour (wheat);
- 150 g sweet sand;
- 100 ml milk;
- 60 g dark chocolate;
- 10 g vanilla;
- 3 testicles;
- 2 tsp. cocoa powder;
- 1 tsp. baking powder.
Main stages of production:
- Sweet sand is poured into a deep container, and then 200 g of butter. Everything is whipped well with a mixer until the color of the mass becomes one hundred percent snow-white. At the very end, vanillin is added to it and everything is carefully mixed.
- Add the eggs one at a time and beat everything well until smooth. After this, sifted flour, baking powder and milk at room temperature are added. Everything is thoroughly kneaded until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
- The vanilla dough is divided into two equal parts. Cocoa powder is poured into one of them. You can add more of it than indicated in the recipe if you want to highlight the chocolate flavor. But in this case, you need to slightly reduce the amount of flour.
- While the dough is resting, prepare the baking dish. An iron or glass container must first be greased with a piece of butter, and then lightly sprinkled with flour.
- The oven heats up to 170 degrees. First, vanilla and then chocolate dough is spooned into the mold using a spoon.
- The marble cake recipe is virtually complete. All that remains is to place the mold in the oven for 40-50 minutes and occasionally check its readiness with a wood stick.
- Once the baked goods are ready, it’s time to start adding chocolate glaze. To do this, 50 g of butter is mixed with 60 g of chocolate and heated in a water bath or in a microwave oven.
- When the cake is removed from the pan and has actually cooled down, it needs to be topped with still warm and thick glaze.
Small marble cupcakes are also prepared using this recipe. It is enough to use silicone molds, which do not even need to be lubricated with oil. All you have to do is rinse them under running water, clean them of water, and they are ready for use.
Marble cake with vegetable oil
One of the few interpretations of marble cake, which is unrivaled in refined oil. And here's what you need to prepare it:
- 170 g sifted flour;
- 150 g sweet sand;
- 125 ml vegetable oil without aroma;
- 30 g cocoa powder or dry Nesquik;
- 4 chicken eggs;
- 1 tsp. baking powder;
- a pinch of vanillin.
Main stages of production:
- In a large, deep bowl, beat the eggs with butter and vanilla until they increase in volume (approximately 3 times) and until they acquire a snow-white color.
- Add sifted flour with baking powder and mix everything thoroughly from top to bottom. Afterwards, vegetable oil is poured in and a homogeneous and fairly thick mass is mixed.
- The baking dish is greased with butter. Carefully pour 2/3 of the entire dough into it.
- To the rest, add cocoa and mix everything well. All that remains is to pour the chocolate mixture over the snow-white one.
- Smudges are made with a wooden stick or skewer. It is possible to do without this, but then the marble cake will not turn out as beautiful.
- The oven heats up to 180 degrees. The form is placed there for 30-50 minutes.
After the designated time has passed, the baked goods are cooled, sprinkled with sweet powder if desired, and served with tea.
Banana Marble Cake
And another recipe for marble cake, which amazes with its originality. It really is quite tasty, although it consists of the most ordinary and simple goods. And more specifically:
- 150 g butter (soft);
- 100 g chocolate (milk);
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 2 tsp. cocoa powder;
- 1 and ¾ cups sifted flour;
- 1 glass of sweet sand;
- 1 cup banana puree;
- ½ cup sour cream;
- ¾ tsp. baking soda;
- ½ tsp. table salt;
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract.
Main stages of production:
- The oven is preheated to 180 degrees. And the baking dish is greased with a piece of butter and set aside for a while.
- Sifted flour, salt and soda are combined in the deepest container. In another bowl, beat sweet sand with butter until fluffy.
- Chicken eggs are alternately added to the oil consistency and beaten. It is best if they are fresh and homemade.
- After this, flour is added in small portions, and at the very end, banana puree, watery sour cream and vanilla extract are added.
- The dough is set aside for a while to “breathe.” It's time to melt the milk chocolate in a water bath (stirring constantly) or in the microwave. Cocoa powder is added to the purchased mass.
- A cup of dough is added to the melted chocolate and everything is again thoroughly kneaded until smooth.
- First, light dough is laid out in the prepared form, and then chocolate. With all this, it is absolutely not necessary to smooth and painstakingly compact any layer.
- Use a knife to mix everything at the very end. The results should be noteworthy and beautiful patterns. Approximately as in the photo below or even better.
- The marble cake takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes to bake. But it’s better to check it from time to time with a toothpick or match. After all, the speed of production depends on the power of the oven.
- After the time has passed, the baked goods are carefully removed from the mold. It needs time to cool, at least to room temperature. After this, you can serve it or give it to a friend as an edible gift.
