For the first time, tangerines began to be grown in southern China. In ancient times, this fruit was incredibly expensive, and only noble and rich nobles, who were called tangerines, could afford it. Since that time, this wonderful name has been assigned to this citrus fruit. This variety of citrus fruit came to Europe only in the 17th century. Europeans, it would seem, having tasted everything, liked this sweet and sour fruit.

These days it is quite difficult to find a real tangerine. Usually, modifications are displayed on store shelves. For example, natsumikan (mandarin + grapefruit), tangor (mandarin + orange), etc. But, despite the external differences, tangerines are almost identically useful.

Like all citrus fruits, tangerine is a storehouse of vitamin C. Apart from it, the fruit contains a significant amount of vitamins B, P, K and D. Sea salad with shrimp and tangerines

Ingredients needed to make the salad:

  • tangerines – 5-6 pcs.
  • pears - 1 pc.
  • small shrimps – 170 g
  • lime – 0.5 pcs.
  • stalk celery – 110 g
  • Provencal mayonnaise – 3.5 tablespoons
  • leaf salad
  • dill
  • parsley
  • table vinegar
  • fine salt

Boil and peel the shrimp. Depending on the size, cut into several pieces. Peel the tangerines and cut into cubes. Cut the pears into pieces.

Cut the stem celery into pieces no more than 1 cm long. Cut the lettuce leaves into thin long strips. Spread the salad in two layers.

First shrimp with celery, and then everything else. Season any layer with Provencal mayonnaise and salt. Sprinkle the salad with lime juice. Decorate the salad with sprigs of dill and parsley.

  • crushed almonds – 110 g
  • sunflower oil – 4-5 tablespoons
  • stalk celery – 220 g
  • sweet sand - 3 teaspoons
  • lemon - 1 pc.
  • ground dark pepper
  • salt
  • basil

Lightly fry the almonds and grind them in a mortar. Cut tangerines into cubes. Chop the stem celery. Squeeze juice from lemon. Finely chop the basil.

For the dressing, combine sugar, sunflower oil, freshly ground dark pepper and salt in a blender. Combine the salad ingredients, pour over the dressing and mix thoroughly. Garnish a regular salad with the freshest basil leaves.

Salad with rabbit meat and tangerines

Ingredients needed to make pineapple salad:

  • tangerines – 160 g
  • rabbit meat – 420 g
  • canned pineapple – 160 g
  • mayonnaise – 250 g

Boil rabbit meat in salted water until cooked. Let it cool, then cut into small cubes of similar size.

Divide the tangerines into slices, each of which is cut into several parts. Cut the canned pineapple into slices. Combine all ingredients in a salad bowl, season with mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly.

  • Peeled tangerine – 3 pcs.
  • Celery (stem) – 1 pc.
  • Salad (reddish) onion – 1 pc.
  • Chives – 100 gr.
  • Ripe avocado – 2 pcs.
  • Roasted sunflower seeds – 3 tbsp. spoons
  • Olive oil (preferably “Extra virgin”) – 5-7 tablespoons.
  • Rice vinegar – 4 tbsp. spoons
  • Grainy mustard - 2 tbsp. spoons
  • Sugar (or honey), salt, pepper/paprika - to taste
  1. Prepare a small but deep bowl. Pour oil into it, add mustard, vinegar and spices to it. Whisk the dressing until the salt dissolves. Place in the refrigerator.
  2. Place well-washed lettuce leaves or any mixture of herbs in a salad bowl. Pour the dressing on top and mix well so that any leaf is covered with the oil dressing.
  3. Carefully slice the chicken breast across the grain, peel the avocado and cut into half rings. Peel the tangerine, remove the films and add to vegetables and meat.
  4. Cut the salad onion into thin half rings. If desired, in order to remove the bitterness, you can pour boiling water over the onion for 1 minute. Carefully drain the boiling water and place it in a bowl. Finely chop the chives and celery.
  5. Add the rest of the dressing and mix well.

Citrus Spicy Salad.

To make it you will need the following ingredients:

  • Kishmish grapes – 200 gr.
  • Iceberg lettuce (ready-made salad mix) – 2 packages or 300 gr.
  • Tangerines – 200 gr.
  • Canned pineapple (pieces) – 200 gr.
  • Grapefruit – 200 gr.
  • Walnuts – 100 gr.
  • Feta cheese (brynza) – 100 gr.
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice – 0.5 cups.
  • Honey – 1 teaspoon.
  • Refined vegetable oil – 3 tablespoons.
  • Wine vinegar – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt, pepper - to taste.
  • Poppy (or sesame) – 3 teaspoons.
  1. Prepare the dressing: combine the ingredients in a bowl and whisk well with a whisk or spoon. If you have a blender, use it in the “pulse” mode. If you are using sesame seeds, toast them in a dry frying pan ahead of time until golden brown. Add cooled sesame or poppy seeds to the dressing.
  2. Transfer the unblemished lettuce into a deep container. Send it canned pineapple without syrup, peeled grapefruit and tangerine slices. If the grapes you purchased are large, cut them in half. Stir.
  3. Season the salad with the previously prepared dressing, at the rate of 2 tablespoons per serving.
