Traditional recipe in a slow cooker

Pea soup is valued for its calorie content and nutritional value. It is considered a state dish in almost all European countries, where it has been the favorite food of the people since ancient times. He is loved in Finland, Germany, Great Britain, and the Netherlands. In Sweden, ready-made soup is sold in all hypermarkets - it is placed in an unusual sausage-shaped package and anyone can purchase and heat it for lunch. We, Russians, do not favor semi-finished products, preferring soups with “heat from the heat.” Well, why take a finished product if you can cook the freshest soup in a slow cooker in just an hour! We will tell you a step-by-step soup recipe, and at the same time share some tricks.

For production of 3 l. soup you will need:

  • piece of pork – 400 gr. (you can use a sweet bone);
  • peas - 1 cup;
  • carrot – 1 pc.;
  • potatoes - 3 medium tubers;
  • onion – 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • salt, bay leaf, dark peppercorns.

We prepare according to the instructions:

We carefully wash the peas from the “snow-white dust” and pour boiling water over them. As a rule, it is better to soak legumes overnight (that is, in the dark) - by morning they will swell and cook a couple of times faster. But if you don’t have time: just wash it and pour boiling water while you cook the broth, peel the potatoes and fry.

  1. We wash the pork, fill it with cool water, and cook on the “meat” setting until soft.
  2. Remove the meat from the multi-bowl and let cool.
  3. Three carrots on a large grater, cut the onion into cubes.
  4. Fry the vegetables on the “Fry” mode in a multi-bowl in a small amount of oil.
  5. Cut the potatoes into narrow strips or small cubes.
  6. Add peas, potatoes, roast, bay leaf to the broth.
