Gingerbread cookies with glaze

Painting shaped gingerbread cookies with icing is perhaps the most exciting part of the making process. You can decorate any type of cookie with icing. Most people prefer to decorate traditional gingerbread with icing.

  • sweet sand - 120 g;
  • testicle - 1 piece;
  • butter - 110 g;
  • baking soda - 1 teaspoon;
  • natural honey - 3 tbsp. spoon;
  • cinnamon (ground) - 2 teaspoons;
  • ginger (ground) - 3 teaspoons.
  • egg white - 1 piece;
  • sweet powder (without additives) - 210 g;
  • starch (corn) - 1 teaspoon;
  • lemon juice - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • gel food coloring (optional).
  1. Add honey, sugar and spices to a deep bowl. The mixture is heated over low heat until it boils.
  2. After boiling, add soda, butter and mix everything until a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Remove from heat, cool.
  4. Add an egg to the mass, mix and begin to mix in the flour. The finished dough is left to stand for 15 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the countertop with flour and roll out the dough on it in the form of a layer 6 mm wide.
  6. Use special gingerbread cutters to cut out cookies and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
  7. Gingerbread cookies are baked in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 12-13 minutes.
  8. The finished cookies are removed from the oven and allowed to cool.
  9. Sift the powdered sugar and cornstarch into a separate bowl. Add one egg white and mix everything until smooth. Then add lemon juice.
  10. If you plan to create a color painting, then divide the glaze into several portions (according to the number of colors). To get the wateriest glaze you can glaze your cookies around, add a small amount of water to the glaze.
  11. Place the glaze in a piping bag or syringe and decorate the cooled gingerbread cookies with it.
  12. You can serve the dish on the table only after the painting has completely hardened (after 1-2 hours).

Taste of Christmas. Gingerbread Cookie Recipes

How to amuse your loved ones on New Year's holidays?

Ginger cookies are a good option for a comfortable homemade tea party on frosty evenings. His recipe is quite simple, and the taste is unforgettable!

Our culinary blogger Natalya Khromova shared with the AiF-Novosibirsk correspondent the secrets of making the sweet sign of Christmas - ginger cookies.

Gingerbread cookies "New Year's miracle"

Ingredients:

Dough:

Butter – 180 gr.

Cane sugar - 150 gr.

Ground ginger - 4 tsp.

Nutmeg - ½ tsp.

Baking powder - 2 tsp.

Chicken egg - 2 pcs.

Glaze:

Sweet powder - 120 gr.

Lemon or orange juice - 1 tsp.

Egg white - 1 pc.

There are a million options for making this temptation! You can replace the butter with bananas to create cookies that are one-third the least caloric; you can replace the cane sugar with honey or a sugar substitute.

Use buckwheat, oat, whole grain flour. Whatever your darling wants!

I decided to bake a traditional version of cookies, but with oatmeal. Don’t be afraid that oatmeal will give you bitterness and ruin your baked goods! The prepared product is not bitter!

Manufacturing:

Knead the sweet butter in a deep plate.

Add sugar and egg.

Using a blender, beat with radial, smooth movements until smooth.

Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.

We combine all the ingredients together and use a wooden spoon to knead the dough - tasty and completely elastic.

We knead the dough with our hands, filling it with magic and New Year's mysticism.

Then we put it in the freezer for half an hour.

We use this time to make the glaze. If you suddenly don’t feel like making it yourself, buy it ready-made at a hypermarket.

And if not, then simply beat the egg whites and citrus fruit juice until soft snowdrifts form.

Continuously whisking, add sweet powder.

Dividing the icing into bowls, we mixed it with food coloring.

Roll out the cooled dough to approximately 4-5 mm.

We make gingerbread men, circles, a month.

I cut out a couple of Christmas trees and a love sign with a knife. A good solution, if there are no specific molds, is to use a knife. With the twists of your hand, the cookie image can take on any configuration.

Place the cookies on parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. And put the cookies in it for 10-15 minutes.

Take a closer look! It’s very easy to create coal deposits from beautiful, fragrant, crispy cookies. Although, scientists have proven that there is never too much coal in the body and it is a good absorbent component. And if you cover it with glaze and decorate it perfectly, then no one will see Smolny Pechevo... But seriously, 10-15 minutes is completely enough for this baking.

Next, before applying the glaze, be sure to make a wish and cool the cookies.

Coloring cookies is the most creative and joyful process in making cookies. You can use syringes, spoons, toothpicks, sprinkles, and fill confectionery bags with icing.

For those on a diet, I offer a recipe for low-calorie ginger cookies.

Ingredients:

Oat bran - 3 tbsp.

Egg white - 2 pcs.

Ground ginger – 1 tbsp.

Natural yogurt - 1 tsp.

Sugar substitute to taste

The manufacturing method is the same.

Imagine, surprise and be amazed.

Have a nice tea party and New Year's mood!
