Stewed cabbage in a slow cooker is very easy to prepare. What’s especially convenient is that you can fry and stew in it right away. The principle of using a multicooker is very common. All the ingredients that you usually fry in a frying pan are added a little earlier and cooked in the “Frying” mode. Next, all the products that should be stewed are added and the “Stew” mode is turned on. The cabbage comes out very juicy and tasty.

Prepare the necessary products.

Cut the onion into half rings.

Peel the carrots and grate on a large grater.

Peel the pepper from seeds and cut into strips.

Grease the multicooker pan with vegetable oil. Place a layer of onions, then carrots, and peppers on top. Close the multicooker and set the “Frying” mode for 20 minutes.

While the vegetables are roasting, chop the cabbage.

Scald the tomatoes with boiling water. Remove their skin and cut into slices.

When the vegetables are finished cooking, open the lid of the multicooker. Place cabbage and tomatoes in it. Dilute the tomato paste with water, add salt and pour the cabbage with this consistency. Close the multicooker lid. Set the “Extinguishing” mode for approximately 40-50 minutes. If the cabbage is young, then the stewing time should be approximately 20 minutes.

  • forks of white cabbage - 1 - 1.2 kg;
  • tomato paste (tomato juice, ketchup, canned tomatoes in their juice) – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • onions – 1 pc.;
  • carrots – 1 pc.;
  • water – 150 ml;
  • vegetable oil – 50 ml;
  • bay leaf - 1 pc.;
  • salt, spices to taste.

We chop the cabbage into thin strips: it is important to be patient here, because large leaves take longer to stew and turn out to be the most liquid. Three carrots on a large grater, cut the onion into cubes. Fry the vegetables using the “Baking” or “Frying” mode. Add tomato paste, a little water, salt and spices. Close everything with a lid and turn on the “Extinguishing” mode. Add bay leaf to the roast cabbage, stir, and let it brew for a little while. Take out the bay leaf, otherwise the dish will be a little bitter. The total production time is 30-40 minutes, depending on the functionality of your multicooker.

Serve the finished dish with sour cream, a huge bunch of finely chopped dill, and black bread. It is good as an independent dish or as an element of a complex side dish: if you boil the potato tubers completely, put them on a huge plate next to the stewed cabbage, and next to it a piece of meat or liver fried with onions, the dinner will turn out, as they say, “eat your brain off.”

  3. Add cabbage, vegetables, and potatoes to a bowl greased with vegetable oil.
  4. Mix everything thoroughly.
  5. Add a little water. Mix it with tomato paste.
  6. Salt and season with spices.
  7. Simmer on the “Stew” mode for 30-40 minutes.

This dish can be perfectly seasoned with any oriental spices - marjoram, cumin, cumin - at your discretion. It does not need an additional side dish, being a self-sufficient dish. For those who want to eat more thoroughly, you can eat it with meatballs, cutlets, pieces of chicken and, of course, with the freshest onion bread as a snack.

With sausages

Stewed cabbage and smoked meats are a culinary classic! German, Czech, and Hungarian cuisine are simply unimaginable without this combination.
