A recipe for hot sandwiches with sprats, which we will cook in the oven. An ordinary but very tasty dish: crispy bread, special sauce, juicy tomato and fragrant sprats. At least for any day, even for a festive table!

The base for such sandwiches is snow-white bread. I take the test one (it’s tender and airy), but a baguette or loaf will also work. Buy sprats that have been tested - so that the composition is good and the fish is whole. It’s best to use dense and elastic tomatoes for sandwiches, and make homemade mayonnaise (recipe here).

The amount of ingredients indicated in the recipe yields 10 fairly large sandwiches with sprats. It is not worth preparing them very far in advance (for example, a day in advance), because the baked bread loses its pleasant crunch. By the way, after cooling, the sandwiches are also very tasty (but warm ones, naturally, taste better).

To make these simple and delicious baked sandwiches, we need the following ingredients: snow-white bread (I already have sliced ​​bread), sprats in oil, fresh tomatoes, mayonnaise, cheese (Russian, Dutch and the like) and garlic.

First, turn on the oven to heat up to 190-200 degrees. Let's create the sauce: put 2 full (even heaping) tablespoons of mayonnaise in a bowl and squeeze 1 large clove of fresh garlic into it.

Stir and the fragrant sauce is ready.

Wash the fresh tomatoes, dry them and cut them into fairly thin slices. For 10 sandwiches I needed 3 small tomatoes (any one about 100 grams).

We collect sandwiches. Spread a slice of snow-white bread (loaf) with fragrant garlic mayonnaise.

Place a couple of tomato slices on top.

Drain the vegetable oil from the sprat - it is not needed in this recipe. For one sandwich (from a regular container of 160 grams) there are 3 fish - put them on top of the tomatoes.

Sprinkle with grated cheese (50 grams is enough for all sandwiches).

In this way we collect all the sandwiches with sprats and tomatoes. Transfer them to a baking sheet lined with food foil or baking paper.

Bake in an oven preheated to 190-200 degrees for about 15 minutes (if cooking in a gas oven on lower heat without convection). In an electric oven on top-bottom mode, the sandwiches will probably be ready in about 10 minutes. We need to melt the cheese and brown the underside of the bread.
