INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 medium chicken fillets (400 g)
  • 3 tbsp. l. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil
  • 1 patient forks Iceberg or Romaine lettuce
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 80 g parmesan cheese
  • 40 g wheat crackers
  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 2 teeth garlic
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp. l. lemon juice
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese

COOKING METHOD:

1. In order to prepare a traditional Caesar salad with chicken and croutons, you first need to make chicken fillet. In principle, it can be prepared using different methods, for example, boiled in water or baked in the oven. But for this festive salad, I prefer to fry the fillet on a grill pan. This production method allows you to get unusually tasty, juicy and appetizing meat without unnecessary calories.

Before frying, it is better to marinate the chicken fillet in soy sauce at room temperature for at least half an hour, turning the pieces of meat from time to time so that they are properly soaked. If the fillet is very large in size, then its thick parts must be lightly beaten with a meat mallet in advance.

2. Lightly grease the grill pan with vegetable oil using a pastry brush or cardboard napkin and heat thoroughly.
Dry the fillet with a cardboard towel and fry for 2 - 3 minutes on each side over high heat, then reduce the heat, cover the chicken with a lid and cook until cooked for 10 minutes. 3. Cool the finished chicken fillet and cut into large, beautiful, golden-brown slices across the grain.
4. Carefully wash and dry the iceberg or romaine lettuce, tear it into pieces with your hands or simply chop it coarsely.


5. Carefully cut the cherry tomatoes into halves, trying not to lose their juicy sweet center.
6. Grate Parmesan cheese on a small grater.

7. Traditional Caesar salad dressing should include special Worcestershire sauce or chopped anchovy fillets. But if you, like me, were unable to purchase these rare ingredients in the store, then I suggest trying my version of a regular and affordable sauce that perfectly complements the taste of this delicious cool dish.

To prepare a tasty and special Caesar sauce without anchovies, place mayonnaise, mustard, finely chopped garlic in a blender container and pour in lemon juice.
Beat all ingredients in a blender for a few seconds. Add grated Parmesan cheese and beat again. The end result is a homemade Caesar dressing made from common ingredients that has a thick consistency and a distinctive, rich flavor. 8. Place lettuce leaves in a large salad bowl, cherry tomatoes on them and slices of chicken fillet on top.
9. Just before serving the salad, it is necessary to pour the sauce over it, and also generously sprinkle wheat croutons and grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Caesar salad with chicken, traditional recipe

Ingredients:

  • Two chicken breasts
  • 100 g parmesan,

  • The freshest fragrant herbs, for example, oregano, rosemary, thyme
  1. Make Caesar dressing (link above).
  2. Take the chicken breasts and remove the fillets from the bones.

3. Sprinkle the resulting fillet with salt and pepper, and fry with vegetable oil and a couple of sprigs of rosemary (or other fragrant herbs) in a hot frying pan until golden brown.

4. Then set them aside to cool.

5. Cut the loaf into large cubes.

6. Bake in the oven until it becomes croutons. But not for very long, so that they are not very tough. You can instead fry it in vegetable oil in a frying pan with a clove of garlic (I like this option better).

7. Squeeze a few cloves of garlic into the bag through a garlic press, add croutons there and shake. Remove the crackers from the bag and place on a plate to cool.

8. Wash and dry the lettuce leaves, tear them by hand or chop them not very finely.

9. Place a few tablespoons of Caesar dressing on a plate with salad. Mix lettuce leaves with sauce, place chicken breast cut into pieces on top.

10. Add chopped cherry tomatoes.
