  • 2 large onions
  • 80 g butter
  • 275 ml cream
  • 300 ml light beer
  • 70 g hard cheese
  • ground dark pepper, nutmeg, salt

Peel the onion, cut into thin rings and saute until transparent in 40 g of heated butter. Wash the potatoes with a brush, peel and cut into very thin slices. Layer the potatoes and sautéed onions in an ovenproof dish.

Whisk the cream with beer and grated cheese. Season the filling to taste with salt and spices, pour it over the potatoes and check that it is moderately distributed over the surface.
