Lemonade with lemon - recipes for making the drink at home

Summer is in full swing and it’s fun that it’s only the beginning of June! It means that everything is ahead. The strawberry season has begun, the cherries are ripening. And soon there will be cucumbers, tomatoes and many more tasty and necessary berries, vegetables and fruits.

To summarize about summer, I will say that it is a beautiful time. But there are also hot days. This is where, in addition to air conditioners and fans, cool beetroot soup, homemade kvass or refreshing lemonade come to the rescue. Let's talk about the extreme. Fortunately, it’s easy to create and requires a minimum of ingredients.

The essence of making a healthy summer drink is very simple. You need untainted water, the freshest lemons and sweetener. It’s important to just follow the proportions so that you get really tasty and high-quality lemonade. As for water, you can take both carbonated and still. It depends on whether you like fizzy food or not.

When creating a summer drink, you need to freeze the ice in advance. It will quickly cool any not very cold drink. Straws will also come in handy. They are comfortable to drink through. These straws also have several functions. They allow you to stir the ingredients in a glass and simply decorate the presentation of the dish.

Homemade lemon drink recipe

Our selection opens with a traditional recipe with a minimum of ingredients. These are, in fact, the sour citrus fruits themselves, water and sugar. If desired, sugar can be replaced with honey or another desired sweetener. Or add a little sparkling water if you want some fizzy water.

Let's mess around with the syrup a little. But this particular process will later give the drink the smell and fullness of taste.

We have to:

  • Lemons - 4 pieces;
  • Granulated sugar - 150 gr.;
  • Drinking water - 1 liter.

Manufacturing:

1. Remove the zest from 1 lemon. To do this, grate its yellowish skin on a large grater. Pour it into a fireproof ladle.

2. Sprinkle sweet sand on top. Add 200 ml of fresh water and put on fire. As soon as it boils, immediately reduce the heat and cook for 5-7 minutes. In general, until the sugar dissolves.

3. The syrup will be saturated with the smells of the zest. And remove it from the heat and let it cool well.

4. Then filter through a sieve into a separate container. The squeezings can be thrown away. We won't need them anymore.

5. Squeeze juice from other lemons.

One trick: to squeeze out more water from fruits, you need to roll them with your palm on any hard surface. This way you are guaranteed to get more fresh juice from all citrus fruits. I don’t understand why. Maybe you understand and write below in the comments?

6. We also filter it through a strainer so that we don’t get any bitter citrus seeds later.

7. If less than 200 ml of lemon juice comes out, then you need to take more fruit and squeeze it to the appropriate amount.

8. Now we combine all the ingredients, pouring them into a jug. Add water and stir well. This is where you can add sparkling water if desired. But I'm adding the ordinary one.

9. Lemonade can be perfectly chilled or served immediately in glasses with ice and straws. Lemon slices are perfect for decoration.

Regular version with peppermint

I just love this mint recipe. Firstly, it is preparing very quickly. And secondly, it is perfectly refreshing in the hottest weather. Well, he saves the figurine. You can sit on this lemonade all day long and not want any other food.

We have to:

  • Lemons - 2 pieces;
  • Cold drinking water - 2 liters;
  • Honey - to taste;
  • Mint - a bunch.

Manufacturing:

1. Remove the skin from citrus fruits. To do this, you can trim the lemons on both sides. Then cut the skin of any lemon into several pieces along its segments. Carefully remove the skin itself.

2. Later we cut the lemons into rings. We take out all the bones. They can be bitter in the drink and are also harmful to the body.

3. Place the cut rings in a clean jar or jug with a wide mouth.

4. Add honey and a few mint leaves there. All ingredients are perfectly mashed with a wooden spatula.

5. Fill the mint-lemon mixture with cool drinking water. I usually take water from a source. Fortunately, there is such a source not far from our dacha. That’s why lemonade tastes better with similar water!

6. Mix with a spatula and pour into glasses. Here, at your own discretion, add ice cubes and mint leaves for decoration.

You can also strain the drink before serving. And from time to time it’s great to use it together with lemon pulp or even a mint leaf!

Bon appetit and let's create the next gingerbread.

How to make lemonade with ginger?

Ginger drink is prepared based on syrup with the root. Keep in mind that this healthy vitamin dish is not suitable for many people. It should be given to allergy sufferers and children with caution. But, if there are no special contraindications, then cook it any day!

And here I suggest you watch a short video with the recipe. After all, rather than hearing 100 times, it’s better to see days once, isn’t it?

The right recipe with lemon and oranges

No less popular lemonade is made with oranges. The resulting dish is somewhat reminiscent of the famous Fanta if we add sparkling water. But much, much more useful. And don’t be scared by the huge size - 9 liters. If you wish, you can simply halve the number of goods.

We have to:

  • Lemons - 1 piece;
  • Cold drinking water - 9 l.;
  • Sugar - 800 gr;
  • Oranges - 4 pieces.

Manufacturing:

1. We will use citruses with peel. Therefore, we will carry out several manipulations to remove the bitterness from it.

2. To begin, soak the fruits in boiling water for almost 1-2 minutes.

3. Then we cool them and put them in a bag in the freezer. Let them lie down for 9-10 hours. This will completely destroy all the bitter taste of the citrus peels.

4. Take out a bag of fruit. Soak them briefly in hot water and cut into small pieces.

5. We pass these still frozen pieces through a meat grinder into a saucepan.

A meat grinder is simply replaced by a powerful blender. It will turn fruit into puree with the same success.

They are hard and therefore easy to grind into a yellow-orange pulp.

6. Fill the puree with 3 liters of water. Stir slightly with a spoon and leave for 15-20 minutes until the water becomes citrusy.

7. Next, filter the mass through a fine sieve. At the same time, do not throw away the remaining orange mince. If desired, you can add sugar and simmer for 15-20 minutes on fire. For the winter you will get a good and healthy jam for tea.

8. Fill the sweet sand with 2 liters of warm water. Stir until the syrup comes out.

9. Combine the syrup and fruit water in a large 10 liter jar. Add another 4 liters of water and mix the mass, combining all the ingredients.

This is where Fanta lovers can exchange regular water for sparkling water. The result is a delicious citrus fizz!

This lemonade can be immediately consumed with ice. Or you need to cool it in the refrigerator for some time and then drink it.

This concludes my short selection. Naturally, these are not all the options for making lemonade. Soon we will look at several more exciting and delicious drink recipes with different ingredients.
