Few people probably know that a layered salad can be prepared by combining various ingredients, and at the same time end up with a salad that is no less tasty. One such successful and tasty combination is chicken with prunes. Prunes add an unusual sweet and sour note, and chicken meat is a constantly successful ingredient in salads, because it is quite dietary, easy and quick to make, and, importantly, completely affordable.

Salad with chicken, prunes and fresh cucumber

Ingredients

Manufacturing

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, cook 400 grams or 2 chicken quarters. Add 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 pinches of pepper and 1 bay leaf to the water. When boiling, turn off the noise and cook for 30 minutes.
  2. Finely chop 1 medium-sized onion. Place the frying pan on the stove, pour 30 grams of vegetable oil into it and, when it heats up, add the onion. Fry it until translucent and slightly golden in color.
  3. Wash and peel 400 grams of champignons and finely chop. Add to the pan with the onions and fry for another 10-15 minutes. The juice that mushrooms produce when fried should evaporate. Be sure to add 1 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of ground dark pepper.
  4. Boil 2 hard-boiled chicken eggs in a saucepan, the boiling time depends on the size of the egg, about 4 minutes. When they are cooked, pour cool water to cool them down, and then peel them. Grate coarsely.
  5. We take the finished chicken quarters out of the water onto a cutting board, let them cool slightly and separate the meat from the bone. Finely chop. Pour any prepared salad ingredient into a separate bowl so that they do not mix.
  6. Wash 2 large new cucumbers, trim the edges and grate them on a large grater.
  7. Finely chop 50 grams of prunes.
  8. Pour 100 grams of mayonnaise into a bowl, add 100 grams of natural yogurt without additives and mix. Instead of yogurt, you can add sour cream, this way we reduce the fat content of mayonnaise and make the salad easier for our stomach.
  9. Peel 2 cloves of garlic, press them using a press and place them in a bowl with mayonnaise and yogurt, mix.

Forming a salad

  1. Take a flat plate or dish and place a cooking ring in the center.
  2. Place the chicken in the bottom layer, pour the dressing over it with a spoon and distribute it moderately. So we lubricate and tamp any next layer.
  3. Next we lay out the prunes, a little, otherwise it will be tasteless - they should not be a dense layer, but simply give a flavor boost. Lubricate.
  4. Then add the fried onions and mushrooms and add the dressing again.
  5. Lay out the next layer of eggs. Lubricate with dressing.
  6. Squeeze the grated cucumbers from excess juice with your hands and place them on top in a ring, do not press down and add a little salt.
  7. Carefully remove the serving ring.
