Products for making Greek salad.

Combine olive oil with dry Italian herbs, chopped garlic, lemon juice to taste, balsamic to taste and stir.

Cut the feta or cheese and place it in the sauce.

The cheese cubes will be fragrant and colorful.

Chop the Chinese cabbage, but not finely.

Chop the red onion or onion coarsely but thinly.

I am sure that Greek salad is prepared in every family. I would like to offer an option with Chinese cabbage and a unique presentation of feta. We will add it to the dish not in pieces, but in large slices. It looks the most beautiful and festive.

Greek salad came to us from Greece. He immediately gained enormous popularity. The salad itself in Greece is often called rustic. Essentially this is logical. Its main ingredients are sweet peppers, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, olives, reddish onions, lettuce and feta cheese. All these products are easy to find in the refrigerator of an ordinary Greek family. Most often, the crunchiest types of lettuce, such as iceberg and Chinese cabbage, are used for salad.

  • Beijing cabbage – 200 g
  • Fresh cucumbers – 4 pcs.
  • Tomatoes – 4 pcs.
  • Sweet pepper – 2 pcs.
  • Onions – 1 pc.
  • Olives – 12 pcs.
  • Feta cheese – 200 g
  • Salt – 0.5 tsp.
  • Dark ground pepper – 2 pinches
  • Olive oil – 4 tbsp. l.
  • Basil – 1 sprig

How to make Greek salad with Chinese cabbage

Cut the Chinese cabbage into thin long strips and place on a dish, lightly add salt.

Place thinly sliced ​​onions on top of the cabbage.

If desired, the onions can be pickled in vinegar.

Wash and dry the bell pepper, remove the seed box and cut the pepper into thin strips. It is better to use peppers of different colors. Lightly add salt on top.

Wash and dry the cucumbers and tomatoes. Cut the cucumbers into half rings, tomatoes into slices. Place vegetables on top and lightly add salt.

If desired, the olives can be cut into slices.

Drizzle the salad with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, place pieces of feta cheese in the middle of the plate, pepper the salad and drizzle with the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Garnish with basil leaves and serve immediately.

Step 3:

Prepare other ingredients. To make a Greek salad with Chinese cabbage, we will need: tomatoes, cucumbers, reddish onions, several leaves of Chinese cabbage, feta cheese or feta, pitted olives.
