Video recipe: Traditional chocolate muffins
Step-by-step recipe with photos and videos
The traditional recipe for chocolate muffins is “rubbed to the holes” - so they are delicious and easy to make. The title alone already evokes a storm of feelings among those with a sweet tooth. The cupcakes turn out slightly moist, moderately sweet, tender and incredibly tasty.
Prepare the necessary products.
In a deep bowl, combine the dry ingredients: sift the wheat flour, add cocoa powder, sugar and baking powder. Mix everything thoroughly so that there are no lumps left, and the whole mass should be moderately colored with cocoa.
Place pieces of dark chocolate in a saucepan, pour in milk and add butter.
Place on heat and bring until smooth, stirring occasionally. Bring the mixture to a boil over low heat.
In a bowl, combine sour cream with chicken eggs.
Pour the creamy chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously.
Then add sour cream and eggs.
And mix everything again.
Place the finished dough into molds. If you use silicone molds or with disposable cardboard inserts, there is no need to grease them; otherwise, grease them with vegetable oil.
Place the pan with the dough in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes at 180-200 degrees, until dry.
You can check the readiness with a wood splinter - if it is dry, traditional chocolate muffins are ready.
Serve cooled, incredibly delicious chocolate muffins for tea.
If you wish, you can decorate the muffins with cream, although they taste great without it.

Chocolate muffins - a holiday of taste on your table
Muffins are small, neat cupcakes with attractive cracks on the top. Culinary experts talk about two types of recipes. The first one is English muffins made with yeast, and the second one is South American muffins made with unleavened dough with the addition of baking powder. This particular North American recipe is particularly popular all over the world. In America, muffins are called cupcakes and contain both sweet and meat toppings. But muffins with chocolate are more common. You will often spoil your family and friends with delicious food if you figure out how to make chocolate muffins on your own.
Cocoa muffins recipe
Cupcakes, and this is what these cupcakes are called in America, are easy to purchase in almost all confectionery departments, but preparing them yourself at home is quite simple. And most importantly, you will be convinced that there are no components harmful to health in their composition. And you can’t imagine what smell of fresh baked goods will fill the house with cupcakes. So, to create muffins with cocoa, you will need:
- dark chocolate bar;
- 2/3 cup flour;
- 150 gr. butter;
- 200 gr. high quality flour;
- 3 chicken eggs;
- a couple of huge spoons of cocoa;
- a couple of teaspoons of baking powder;
- vanilla on the tip of a knife;
- 150 gr. raisins or walnuts (optional);
- muffin tins.
If you have prepared the ingredients, it’s time to study the step-by-step recipe for cocoa muffins:
- Take a deep bowl. Beat the eggs there, add cocoa powder and sweet sand. Combine soft butter with the preparation given to us and grind. Sugar and cocoa should be dispersed moderately throughout the butter.
- Break or cut the chocolate bar into squares and add to the buttery mixture. Mix thoroughly.
- Add vanilla and flour, previously enriched with oxygen (sifted) and flavored with baking powder, into the mixture. Make the dough.
- Dry the nuts or raisins and sprinkle with flour so that the additives are dispersed throughout all the muffins. Place them in the dough and turn the spoon in it again.
- Chocolate muffins are baked in muffin containers. Molds are made of iron, silicone and paper. Grease them with oil and spread the dough out, about 2/3 the size.
- Place in the oven at 200 degrees. Bake cupcakes for approximately 20 minutes.
Cocoa muffins are ready. When serving, you can cover their caps with glaze, sprinkle with confectionery powder, or simply decorate with sweet powder. You can serve chocolate muffins with condensed milk or jam insides by simply cutting the muffin and pouring the topping on it.
Chocolate Muffins with Coffee Recipe
Chocolate is the dream of not only a child, but also of almost all adults. This chocolate muffin recipe will be appreciated by those of you who love its mild flavor in dessert dishes. To enjoy the dish at home, you must:
- half a stick of butter;
- dark chocolate bar;
- a couple of spoons of milk;
- 2 tbsp. l. coffee granules;
- 3 testicles;
- 130 gr. Sahara;
- 4 huge spoons of cocoa;
- 1 small spoon of baking powder;
- muffin tins.
The recipe for chocolate muffins turns out to be trivially ordinary:
- Place a third of the chocolate bar, coffee granules and butter into the container. Place on the stove and melt. Remove from heat, pour in milk and stir until creamy.
- Beat the eggs and sugar with a regular whisk or mixer.
- Mix cocoa, baking powder, flour in a separate bowl and add to the egg mixture.
- Combine the butter with chocolate and the egg mixture with additives in one bowl, add the remaining chocolate.
- Place the dough on the buttered molds, but not to the top, they will rise during baking. Place in a preheated oven at 200 degrees. Keep there for 15 minutes until fully cooked.
- The readiness of chocolate cupcakes is inspected in the same way as regular cupcakes. Stick a match or skewer into the center; if the match is dry and does not stick, they are ready.
The rich, catchy taste is perfectly complemented by the appetizing appearance of the dessert. It’s unlikely that at least one thing remains on the plate after an hour.
Muffins with snow-white chocolate and strawberries
An indescribably delicious and unique dessert. Snow-white chocolate will give it a soft, gentle taste, and strawberry topping will add color and a cool smell. Cooking with your own hands does not imply perfect mastery of the art of cooking. Take:
- 2 cups of good quality wheat flour;
- 150 gr. sugar;
- a small spoon of baking powder;
- a couple of spoons of sour cream;
- 50 gr. butter;
- 4 chicken eggs;
- 2 bars of snow-white chocolate without additives;
- a glass of strawberries.
To prepare this exciting and immediately delicious dish at home, you should adhere to the following instructions:
- Mix flour, baking powder, sugar in a large container. Add sour cream, eggs, butter and beat thoroughly with mixek.
- Break the chocolate or cut it into pieces. Pour it together with strawberries into the dough and place everything in classic molds.

Chocolate muffins with watery insides
A cupcake recipe to be admired. “Chocolate lava”, “chocolate volcano”, “lava cake”, “chocolate fondant” - these are all the names of the first dessert. Imagine a carefully round cupcake on a plate, and when you break it, the chocolate and creamy interior begins to spill out from the inside. - 100 gr. butter;
- 3 chicken eggs;

- 60 gr. wheat flour;
- salt on the tip of a knife.
Feel free to start making chocolate muffins with watery insides:

Chocolate muffins
These chocolate cupcakes turn out very tender, moist, and therefore very, very tasty. This texture is obtained due to an unusual technology: first we prepare something like custard and only then add eggs, flour and the rest of the ingredients of a traditional dough. These chocolate cupcakes should be baked specifically in small molds, because similar dough may not bake well enough in a larger format. In addition, serving in portions allows any taster to add a topping to his taste: jam, condensed milk or whipped cream.

No one understands how the first muffins came about. But one of the stories told by one old lady to her granddaughter says that previously baked goods, such as muffins, were fed to servants and courtiers. It was prepared from the remains of goods from the master's table. From time to time it was just flour, a piece of butter and milk, and from time to time, from the leftover dough, the cooks in the kitchen managed to bake delicious, fluffy buns that were distinguished by their superior taste and smell. One fine moment, entering the kitchen, one of the family members tried the muffin left over from the servants' meal and the owner of the house liked it so much that he gave the order to prepare a portion of muffins and serve them for breakfast. Thus began the spread of muffins throughout the UK. Do you understand that in Great Britain at that time there was such a profession as “Muffin men”, that is, a person selling muffins. They walked along the streets of old Great Britain with trays full of the freshest and fragrant pastries, and attracted the attention of buyers with the hum of a special bell. What fascinates me about this baking for us is the small amount of ingredients and ease of preparation. Just open the refrigerator, collect all the products you have (and virtually everything is suitable for making muffins: berries, fruits, fish, meat, cheese, chocolate, caramel, cottage cheese, etc.), knead the dough and after 25 minutes you have a delicious breakfast or dinner.
