Children's curd cookies
Hi all. I’m coming to you now with the promised cookie recipe, which is perfect for the little ones. You won’t find margarine or eggs in the composition, and there is only the smallest amount of sugar. Besides all this, these cookies can be prepared with the kids. I recommend purchasing special cookie cutters, because I am planning a number of articles of this kind.
To be honest, it took me a long time to choose a recipe for cottage cheese cookies. There are so many of them that it makes your eyes wide open. And later I decided that I would make a series of publications with several variations, and you yourself will choose the most suitable one for yourself.
And I’ll start specifically with this recipe, the most common in terms of preparation and composition. I would like to note that some people may not find these cookies sweet, so you can add more sugar for yourself.
So, how to create cottage cheese cookies for kids, recipe step by step with photos.
- 200 g cottage cheese
- 150 g butter
- 250 g flour
- 100 g sugar
Because the cookies are cottage cheese, cottage cheese is the most basic component on which the final taste depends. It is best to use the fattest cottage cheese you can find. The perfect option is homemade or 18%. Unfortunately, I can’t always find such options, then I buy 9%, which can literally be found in any hypermarket.
Naturally, I won’t talk much about the quality of the oil; for kids it’s the best. By the way, margarine is prohibited in my house; I have a very bad attitude towards such products and do not advise you to eat them. I always buy butter with 82.5% or 72.5% fat content.
Let's start production. It is better to cool the butter in advance in the freezer, 30-40 minutes is enough (of course, it must have been in the refrigerator before). The process of preparing the dough is the same as for the Napoleon cake; we need to grate well-chilled butter on a large grater, grinding it with flour.
There is no need to knead the dough too much; let some pieces of butter remain.
Next, add sugar to our dough.
And pass the cottage cheese through a sieve. You can beat the curd with an immersion blender if you don’t have a sieve. It is important for us to get rid of lumps.
Knead the dough, do it quickly. We just need to collect it into a ball.
We put it in the refrigerator, having previously wrapped it in film. It is best to leave our dough overnight (that is, in the dark) , if there is no time, then it is better to keep it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or half an hour in the freezer.
Next, let's get it. Roll out on a floured surface. You need to roll out thinly, up to 3-5 mm.
Then, cut out cookies from the dough using special cutters. Here, call your children for help, it will be more fun with them. If suddenly there are no molds in the house, then you can simply cut them with cups of different sizes. I advise you to place cookies of approximately the same size on a baking sheet so that they cook at the same time. If the shapes vary greatly in volume, then small cookies will have to be removed from the oven earlier so that they do not burn.
Place the resulting shapes on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Place in a preheated oven at 200º for 10-15 minutes. The time depends on the size of the cookies. If the cookies are absolutely tiny, then 5-7 minutes will be enough. The main thing here is not to overcook; the finished cookies should not get very brown.
Let it cool slightly. Can be served with milk or cocoa.
From this amount of dough I get 2-2.5 trays of cookies.
This is a great opportunity to have a great time with the kids. Help for parents, satisfaction for children. Who knows, maybe just by making these cookies your child will want to become a great chef.
Children's curd cookies
Children's cottage cheese cookies are cookies that are perfect for the little ones. Naturally, there is no margarine in the composition, and there is the smallest amount of sugar. Surprisingly, cookies for babies with these features cannot be found in stores. It’s not enough that the entire range of cookies on the shelves are made with margarine, they are also quite sweet, and it is not recommended to give sweets to small children (1-3 years old). Sugar in this recipe is added only as a flavor enhancer and to add a slight sweet note. The cookies themselves are not sweet.
Also, children's cottage cheese cookies are bound to be loved by athletes and other fitness trainers. Judge for yourself: cookies contain more than 50% useful biomaterial, which is popularly known as cottage cheese; There is practically no sugar, not enough calories, yet again delicious. What else do you need for a good workout?
Total time for making cottage cheese cookies: 1 hour 20 minutes, taking into account the time spent by the dough in the refrigerator.
Ingredients
- cottage cheese 200 g
- butter 25 g
- sunflower oil 25 g
- flour 120 g
- sugar 20 g
- soda 1/3 teaspoon
- salt a pinch
I use regular cottage cheese, not soft and not grainy.
This amount of ingredients makes 300 grams of cookies. The quantity depends on the shape and size.
Manufacturing
We prepare all the necessary ingredients. Place the cottage cheese in a bowl in which we will make the dough.
Add sugar, a pinch of salt, melted butter and vegetable oil to the cottage cheese.
Grind the cottage cheese until smooth. You can, like me, use a simple device for this, which is usually used to mash potatoes.
Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl.
Knead the dough well, make a ball out of it and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. During this period of time, the flour in the dough will get to know the rest of the “guys”.
After half an hour, roll out the dough to an approximate size of 20x30 cm and a width of 1 cm. To cut out cookies, I use an ordinary iron ruler. She is very comfortable working on the test. I have one of these rulers in my kitchen specifically for culinary needs. So, cut out a rectangle with an approximate size of 16x25 cm from the blank. Set aside the rest of the dough, we will also make cookies from it.
We cut our rectangle in half lengthwise and then completely cut the cookies. From the rest of the dough set aside, we make cookies according to the samples made earlier. From the last remaining dough, I made 2 flatbread cookies by hand for the cat to enjoy. Place everything on a lined baking sheet. In this recipe, I strongly recommend covering the baking sheet with silicone mats, but it is better to use two at once, then the cookies on the bottom will not burn. Or do not use a baking sheet, but bake on a wire rack. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Afterwards let it cool. It is better for it to cool on a wire rack, so the cookies will not “soak” at the bottom when cooling and will not be wet.
Children's cottage cheese cookies are ready!
The cookies come out very soft and with a crispy crust. It does not last long, both literally and figuratively. So you can safely brew tea and enjoy. Bon appetit!

In the nearby USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, also the Soviet Union - a state that existed from 1922 to 1991 on the territory of Europe and Asia), it was not possible to purchase savory and fresh cottage cheese cookies. Every housewife of Russian times had her own favorite recipe in store. Modern hypermarket counters are overflowing with various sweet pastries, including cottage cheese cookies. For example, I am afraid to give my daughters store-bought baked goods made from cottage cheese.
Cottage cheese is a perishable product, which means it will contain a lot of additives and preservatives. I prefer to bake cottage cheese cookies for kids at home, especially since they cook very quickly. It comes out tender, fragrant, soft and “sweet”.
We will use the ingredients according to the list.
We take village cottage cheese with visible grains. You can bake cookies from curd mass or a curd product, but then they will turn out to have the least “curd” taste. Grind the cottage cheese with your hands until it becomes a small grain.
Add soft butter.
Combine cottage cheese with butter and fragrant vanilla sugar. The mass should be gentle, without large lumps.
Add flour and baking powder.
Knead the dough ball. The dough does not have to be very tight. Place the bun on the top shelf of the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Let's take the dough. We divide it into two parts. Roll out the first piece. We hide the second part in the refrigerator again. The layer should not be narrow: approximately 5 mm or a little higher.
Using a curly knife, cut small strips.
We take each strip. We bend it into a bow shape. Dip the bows on one side in sugar.
Place the bows on a baking sheet covered with baking paper. There is no need to grease the pan with oil. There is enough of it in the curd dough.
Place the bows in an oven preheated to 200°C for 15-20 minutes.
Curd cookies for kids “Bantiki” are baked! Just remove from the baking sheet. Cool and serve to the kids for dessert. My youngest daughter liked the cookies so much that she decided to treat her beloved LOL doll to them. She also has a bow.
