Mini-chickens with chicken and potatoes
I suggest preparing mini-chickens now. They are prepared according to the principle of an ordinary huge chicken pie, but in a reduced form such pies are much more pleasant to eat.
Well, anyone at the table will be able to take not a piece, but a whole small pie. In addition, such mini-chickens are not a shame to serve on a ceremonial table.
Ingredients for the dough:
- Drink - 1 glass
- Chicken egg - 1 pc.
- Sour cream - 3 tablespoons
- Butter (margarine) - 100 g
- Flour - 3 cups
- Sugar - 1/3 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Ingredients for the inside:
- Chicken meat - 500 g
- Potatoes - 4-5 pcs.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Salt, dark ground pepper - to taste
Mini chicken recipe
1. Let's prepare all the necessary ingredients.
2. Let's start preparing the dough. Melt butter or margarine in the microwave or on the stove.
3. Cool the melted butter to room temperature, add sour cream, eggs, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
4. Pour in the drink, preferably 3.2%.
5. Add sifted wheat flour in small portions. From time to time 3 glasses are enough, from time to time you have to add or subtract slightly.
6. The dough comes out dense, but soft. Cover it with a cotton towel and let it rest for 20-30 minutes.
7. We begin to prepare the filling. Cut the chicken meat into small pieces. It is better to use meat cut from the bone, as I did, or mix it half with fillet.
If you use only fillet or chicken breast, the inside will be dry. Naturally, you can grind the meat through a meat grinder, but it won’t be the same.
8. Finely chop the onion.
9. Cut the potatoes into small cubes.
10. Place the chopped meat, potatoes and onions in a bowl.
11. Add salt and dark ground pepper to taste. You can add some neutral, non-spicy spices.
12. Mix and the insides for the mini-chickens are ready.
13. Let's start sculpting the hens. Divide the rested dough into four equal parts. This is just for ease of rolling.
14. Roll out each of these parts into a small sausage and divide into equal pieces.
15. We do the same with the rest of the dough. The result will be approximately 12 equal pieces. We round up any piece.
16. Roll out any ball into a flat cake 1 cm wide. Spread the prepared filling.
17. Gather the edges of the flatbread and form a chicken pot.
18. Now you need to create a lid. Cut out a circle from a small piece of dough and place it on the upper open surface of the chicken pot.
19. Place the prepared pieces on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. To make sure that the baked goods do not stick to the paper, grease it with vegetable oil and sprinkle with flour.
20. Bake mini-chickens in an oven preheated to 220 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
21. And now let’s enjoy delicious, filling and certainly hot mini-chickens. Bon appetit!
Portioned mini-chickens in the oven
Kurnik is an ordinary Russian pie, which can be not only an ordinary dish for daily consumption, but also an amazing celebratory treat. One of the components of the interior for such a pie is usually chicken meat, which is combined with potatoes or cereals. Dough for chicken can be used either with or without yeast. The size of such a pie also does not have to be huge. For example, why not prepare portioned chicken in the form of small pies. These mini-chickens do not need to be cut into pieces (and, accordingly, they will not crumble), and they are much more convenient to eat. True, you will have to tinker with them a little longer than with one huge pie, but the effort is worth it. The recipe for mini chicken chicken with potatoes and chicken is presented below.
Ingredients:
Sweet unleavened dough:
- 180 g margarine;
- 250 ml. milk or kefir;
- 2 large chicken eggs;
- a coffee spoon (heaped) of baking soda and table salt;
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise;
- 1.5 tbsp. spoons of sweet pitch;
- 6.5 cups wheat flour.
- chicken pulp (breast + meat from 1 leg);
- onions, spices - to taste;
- potatoes - 3 not very large tubers;
- butter – about 100 g.
- Manufacturing time is just over 1.5 hours.
- Yield: 14 hens, about 15 cm in diameter.
How to cook portioned mini-chickens:
Prepare the dough. We cut the margarine into pieces, put it in a heat-resistant container and send it for 30 seconds (maybe a little more) to the microwave oven (Microwave radiation, ultra-high frequency radiation - electromagnetic radiation, including the decimeter, centimeter and millimeter range of radio waves) - oven, in other words, melt it. Obviously, this function can be done on the stovetop.
Beat the eggs with salt and sugar, then mix with mayonnaise and milk drink.
Pour soda into the resulting mixture, mix, pour in melted margarine (it should not be hot). We begin to gradually add flour and knead the dough, which in the end should turn out soft, but quite elastic.
Place it in a bowl, cover with a dry cloth (A collection of different and interacting tissues form organs) and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Let's use this time to make the inside. We clean, rinse and chop the food: chop the onion into arbitrary sizes (this is a matter of taste), cut the chicken flesh into small thin pieces, potatoes into small slices. Combine these 3 ingredients in one bowl, season with spices and mix. Ready.
We take the dough out of the refrigerator and start cooking small chickens. Divide the dough into dissimilar segments. From some we roll out cakes with a diameter of about 16 cm, from the rest we roll out cakes half the size. The approximate thickness of the cakes is 2 mm. (but no less). We put the filling on a huge flatbread (about a heaping tablespoon), and on it – a couple of small pieces of butter (with it the chicken will be juicier and tastier).
Place a small flatbread on top of the filling, lift the sides of the lower flatbread towards it and pinch it together.
We place the formed chicken on a baking sheet covered with something (silicone, Teflon mat or parchment), and immediately put it in the oven, which we preheat.
Bake mini chicken chicken and potatoes for 40 (maximum 45) minutes at 210 °C.
Serve hot or warm.
Bon appetit.

Note the recipe for delicious mini-chickens
Thursday, February 07, 2019 12:06 + to quote book
Kurnik is a regular Russian pie with chicken or duck inside with buckwheat porridge, potatoes and nuts. Nowadays a huge abundance of entrails is consumed. There are also a huge number of chicken recipes.
The dough can be unleavened, butter, shortbread or puff pastry. The two extreme types are the most difficult to make, and also the most delicious. If you use butter and sour cream, they will give a delicate creamy taste and a pleasant smell.
Mini-chickens are served hot
For a perfect kurnik, you need to prepare two types of dough - for the outer form and for the pancakes, which are used to lay the layers of the inside. Decorating a kurnik is a separate type of Russian art. This is a celebratory pie and it is served at huge holidays: weddings, anniversaries, housewarmings. Therefore, decorating the pie with beautiful patterns implies the solemnity of serving the pie on the table.
We offer you a recipe for mini-chickens. This is not a solemn and ordinary pie, but no less delicious. It can be prepared quickly and comfortably.
Step by step recipe
We will need the following ingredients:
SWEET DOUGH:
180 g margarine;
250 ml.
milk or kefir; 2 large chicken eggs;
a coffee spoon (heaped) of baking soda and table salt;
1/2 cup mayonnaise;
1.5 tbsp.
spoons of sweet pitch; 6.5 cups wheat flour.
FILLING:
chicken pulp (breast + meat from 1 leg);
onions, spices - to taste;
potatoes - 3 not very large tubers;
butter - about 100 g.
Production time - just over 1.5 hours.
As a result, you will get 14 mini-hens, about 15 cm in diameter.
HOW TO COOK MINI PORTIONED CHICKENS
Preparing the dough
We crush the margarine, put it in a glass or special container for microwave ovens (Microwave radiation, ultra-high frequency radiation - electromagnetic radiation, including the decimeter, centimeter and millimeter range of radio waves) ovens and send it to the microwave oven for 30 seconds (need to be melted). In principle, all this can be created on the stove.
Beat eggs with salt and sugar, add mayonnaise and milk drink to the mixture, mix. Pour in the baking soda, stir, pour in the melted margarine in a thin stream (!it shouldn’t be hot!), stir.
Add flour little by little to the finished mixture and knead the dough. You need to knead the dough very well so that it comes out soft and elastic.
You need to put the dough in a bowl, cover with a dry cloth (A collection of different and interacting tissues form organs) and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
During this period of time we will prepare the filling:
Chop the onion into cubes, cut the chicken flesh into small thin pieces, potatoes into small cubes.
Mix the 3 components of the entrails in one bowl, add spices and mix.
Cooking chicken chicken
Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into 14 parts, which in turn are divided into two unequal parts. From some we roll out cakes with a diameter of about 16 cm, from the rest we roll out cakes half the size. The approximate thickness of the cakes is 2 mm (no less).
Place the filling on a larger flatbread (approximately a heaping tablespoon) and place a couple of small pieces of butter on it.
We place a small flat cake on top of the insides and lift the sides of the lower flat cake to it, pinching it together.
We cover the baking sheet with baking paper or parchment, lay out the chicken chicken and immediately put it in the oven, which we preheat to 210 C.
Bake mini chicken chicken and potatoes for a maximum of 45 minutes at a temperature of 210 °C.
Ready!
Bon appetit.

Mini-chickens with meat, potatoes and onions in the oven.
Hello dear readers. This recipe is dedicated to all of us, our beloved meat pie, or as it is also called chicken pie. Now we’ll prepare small, delicious mini-chickens. We hope that you will like this recipe and that you will prepare chicken chicken like this for your own family.
Ingredients we need:
For the test we need
- 1 glass of milk
- 2 testicles
- salt 1 teaspoon
- live yeast 30 g or dry yeast 10 g
- 3 tbsp. spoons of sugar
- butter 80 gr
- vegetable oil 1 tbsp. spoon
- flour 500-600 gr.
For the inside we will need:
- pork meat 200 gr
- raw potatoes 2 pcs
- onion 2 pcs
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
How to cook mini chicken chicken
Let's prepare the dough. Pour warm milk into a bowl. Crumble the yeast into it and dissolve it while stirring. For the dough, take a spoonful of sugar from the measured 3 spoons. Sift 200 grams of flour for the dough and mix everything until smooth. Cover the dough with a towel and place it in a warm space to let it rise for 30-40 minutes.
How to prepare dough for chicken
While the dough is rising, prepare everything for the test. Take a huge deep bowl. Break two eggs there, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 tbsp. spoons of sugar, pour in warm melted butter and mix everything well until smooth.
Now that the dough has arrived, add it to the egg mixture and mix everything together. Add another 200 grams of sifted flour and mix too. The dough still comes out watery. We measure out another 200 grams of flour and sift it into the dough. Add a spoonful of vegetable oil and knead the dough by hand. Cover with a towel and place in a warm place for 20 minutes. After 20-30 minutes, knead the dough, and again leave for 20 minutes in a warm place.
Preparing meat filling for chicken
Cut all the ingredients for the inside of the meat, potatoes and onions into small pieces. Meat is easier to cut if it is semi-frozen. Pour everything finely chopped into one bowl and add salt and pepper to taste and mix well until smooth.
During this period of time, our dough came up. We put it on the board. For convenience, we divide it into two parts. Then we cut all the dough into similar pieces weighing 70-80 grams. Roll into balls. Then we roll it into a small flat cake, put the filling in the center and mold the edges like whites, leaving a hole in the center. We make small meat pies, mini-chickens.
Place our mini-chickens on a baking sheet and grease them with yolk. The yolk can be diluted a little with water. After greasing, let the chickens stand for 5 minutes and put them in the oven for 30-40 minutes at a temperature of 200 C.
After 30-40 minutes, the chicken chicken can be removed from the oven. Tender and tasty mini-chickens are ready. Bon appetit!
