This is a type of yeast dough. There is just one difference between regular yeast dough and this dough prepared with mayonnaise. Saving! And what a one! And we are not only talking about the cost of this product, but also about saving time on its production and effort on mixing. You see, to be honest, I have never come across a tastier dough that was so easy and quick to make.

I will show you what ultimately came out of this test. And to be honest, I’m glad that I came across this yeast dough recipe. Now my baked goods are indescribably delicious even with little effort.

Ingredients:

  • Mayonnaise – 150g;
  • Flour - 4 tbsp;
  • Water (warm) – 1 tbsp.;
  • Yeast – 15-17g;
  • Sugar – 2 tbsp;
  • Salt – a pinch.

Step-by-step recipe with photos

We heat the water. Mix warm water with sugar, salt and yeast.

If the water is overheated, do not add yeast to it. You can still dissolve salt and sugar in water. While they are dissolving, the water will cool slightly and it will be possible to add yeast to it.

Add mayonnaise. Mix the dough base.

Mayonnaise contains both eggs and oil, so there is no need to add these products to the dough.

Add sifted flour in batches. Knead a very soft, flexible dough.

I knead the dough directly in the bowl. And I do this within 1-2 minutes, no more. Later I roll the dough into a ball and put it in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours.

After proofing, the dough increased almost 4 times. I had it for almost 2 hours (this is acceptable).

Dump the dough out of the bowl and knead it briefly, almost for a minute.

So as not to be unfounded, I’ll show you how great the baked goods are.

The dough simply rolls out, and at the same time remains soft.

It is simply molded, you can create pies and thin flatbreads. I grease the edges of the dough with mayonnaise, wrap it and press it lightly so that the pizza base is round.

And here I formed a roll from a layer of dough and cut it into pieces to bake Cinnabon buns.

The buns came out bomb. They browned nicely, despite the fact that I didn’t grease them with anything.

  2. Without ceasing to stir, gradually add 600-650 g of flour. In order for the dough to come out airy, sift it through a strainer.
  3. When the mass begins to form a lump around the spatula, place it on the table. Pour in the remaining flour and knead the dough until it becomes homogeneous and elastic and does not stick to your hands.
  4. Sprinkle a bowl generously with flour and place the kneaded lump into it. Cover the bowl with a piece of cling film, use the tip of a knife to pierce holes in it so that condensation does not collect, and set it in a warm space to rise for 1.5-2 hours.
  5. If you do not plan to use the dough right away, place it in the refrigerator to proof. At a low temperature, the rising process will be no less successful, but not very active, and you can use the dough for baking at any time within 3 days.
