Stewed cabbage with rice is a side dish for those who love various dishes and side dishes, namely white cabbage. Cabbage with rice can be served as a side dish, as a main dish for a light lunch, or even used as a filling for pies and pies! The cabbage comes out juicy, the taste and smell of the whole dish will depend in almost everything on the rice used, I prefer basmati, but with round jasmine rice it will be no less tasty :)!

Prepare white cabbage, rice, carrots, onions, vegetable oil, salt, tomato paste, water.

Chop the cabbage thinly, place it in a saucepan or saucepan, pour in water, cover the dish with the cabbage and put it on the fire. Simmer the cabbage over low heat after the water boils until soft. While stewing, do not forget to stir the cabbage from time to time so that the stewing occurs moderately.

While the cabbage is stewing, prepare a fry of onions (small cubes) and carrots (small grater).

When the cabbage becomes soft, transfer the roast into the pan, add salt and add tomato paste. Stir the cabbage and simmer for another 5 minutes.

Along with making the cabbage fryer, boil the rice until tender, adding salt to the water. For this dish you can use any kind of rice, round, long, steamed, a mixture of several types, in general, the rice that you like to serve as a side dish. I used basmati rice. Drain the water from the rice and add it to the cabbage when it has been stewed with frying and tomato paste for 5 minutes.

Stir cabbage into rice. Turn off the heat, cover the pan with a lid and leave it alone for 15 minutes to allow the dish to steep.

Recipe for “Stewed cabbage with rice”:

Chop onions and carrots, fry in a cauldron in vegetable oil

Add tomato paste, stir, simmer lightly.
Chop the cabbage and add to the cauldron. Pour water so that the cabbage is slightly covered, add salt. Simmer for 10-15 minutes

When the cabbage is stewed until half cooked, add rice to the middle of the cauldron.

Add rice by spoonfuls, distributing it in different directions from the center of the cauldron and “tucking” it under the cabbage.

Cover with a lid and simmer until the rice is cooked.

We, the ever-busy housewives, have to think every day about how to prepare one. I want it to be tasty, healthy, and budget-friendly. A good option is vegetable dishes, which often come to the rescue and help vary the menu. Stewed cabbage with rice is just such an option. The dish is ordinary, but very tasty. Rice with cabbage can be eaten as a separate dish or served as a side dish. You won’t have to tinker with it for a long time; even an inexperienced housewife can easily prepare it.

Ingredients:

If you don’t do this, the cabbage will burn, and the rice won’t steam. We add little water so that instead of stewed cabbage we end up with boiled cabbage and rice. Also, don’t forget to add salt to the cabbage and stir it constantly with a spoon. In about 20 minutes, the cabbage and rice will be ready to eat.

6. After half an hour, remove the pan from the stove, but do not open the lid.
