Appetizer for a gala table; Snowmen

Snack for the festive table “Snowmen”

Friends! So the calendar and, so to speak, official winter has begun. I love December and on the first day I try to congratulate everyone on the first day of winter! This time I have this winter snack.

Therefore, I have prepared a suitable recipe for this option. You can cook using it now, creating a pre-holiday mood for yourself, or you can wait until the New Year’s or Christmas table - whatever your heart desires!

For the “Snowmen” snack, the following ingredients will be useful:

For design (in small quantities):

- reddish bell pepper

Manufacturing:

I boiled the eggs, cooled them, and peeled them. I grated it on a medium size grater.

I cut a plate from a piece of cheese.

I cut out small circles from it - these are the future “hats” of snowmen.

I grated the rest of the cheese on a medium grater.

I combined the eggs with cheese and squeezed the garlic in there.

Dressed with mayonnaise. The amount is approximately the same as for a salad, even slightly less.

I carefully stirred the mixture and tasted it. The taste was moderately salty thanks to the cheese and mayonnaise, so I didn’t add salt separately.

Using a glass with a sharp edge, I cut out circles from pieces of bread. There will be snowmen standing on them. Instead of bread, you can use small bread or a salty cracker of a suitable size.

She wet her hands with cool water. At first I rolled the mixture into 4 huge balls (“bodies”) and placed them on the bread. Then - 4 small ones (“heads”), carefully placed them on top of the huge ones.

From this amount of ingredients I got 4 snowmen of what I think is a reasonable size. You can find your way around by looking at a box of matches.

I cut out 4 sticks from raw, clean carrots—these are “spouts.” I made the “sponges” for the snowmen from bell peppers, and the eyes from parsley stems.

For the eyes you can also use (what first came to mind):

- peppercorns (but then they will need to be removed during eating)

- green canned peas (though not so comfortable, because they are soft and can lose their shape when pressed)

- black olives (cut out small pieces)

- green bell pepper

- caps of canned honey mushrooms, etc.

I placed previously made “hats” made of cheese on the snowmen’s heads. Each of them was decorated with a “feather” - a parsley leaf. I put it on a beautiful dish and laid out “Christmas tree branches” - the freshest dill.

I think there is no need to talk extensively about the taste of the dish. I quite like cheese with eggs and garlic. I am sure that almost all of you also like this combination.

I will be glad if you like the idea of designing this snack and decorate your festive table! Or make it so everyday, because it’s wonderful to create a good mood for yourself and your loved ones!
