Seafood, spicy marinade and nothing extra. I consider this recipe to be the most successful, since the end result is very similar to market-produced squid.

  • Seafood carcasses – 1 ½ kg.
  • Soy sauce - a tablespoon.
  • Apple cider vinegar - the same amount.
  • Sunflower oil – a tablespoon.
  • Salt, sugar - a small spoon.
  • Ground pepper - the same amount.
  • Coriander - a small spoon.
  1. Start by preparing your seafood. Scald the carcasses with boiling water, then the film will be removed simply, in one motion. Clean the carcasses from films and entrails.
  2. Place each squid in boiling water for 30 seconds. Do not overcook the product, otherwise the carcasses will become “rubbery”. How to cook correctly , you can find out in detail on another page of the website.
  3. Cut the blanched preparations into strips and place in a deep bowl.
  4. Prepare the marinade. To do this, you need to mix sunflower oil, soy sauce, salt, sugar and all the listed seasonings. If you like it spicier, add ground chili pepper or a few rings of fresh chili.
  5. Pour the prepared marinade over the straws and stir.
  6. The appetizer will be ready after 3-4 hours. Stir the dish a couple of times during this time.

The most delicious squids marinated in Korean with carrots

Don’t understand whether to prefer Korean carrots or seafood? Marinate them together. You will have a beautiful savory appetizer.

  • Squids – 3 pcs.
  • Onion.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 huge spoons.
  • Carrots - a couple.
  • Soy sauce – 2 huge spoons.
  • Vinegar 9% - the same amount
  • Salt – 0.5 teaspoon.
  • Seasoning for carrots in Korean - a teaspoon.
  • Bay leaf – 2 leaves.
  1. Clean the carcasses from film, chitinous plate, and entrails.
  2. Boil water, add salt and bay leaves. Blanch the preparations in the broth for 10-15 seconds. Cool them, cut them into strips.
  3. Peel the carrots, grate using a Korean carrot grater, or cut into narrow long strips. Lightly salt the tenderloin and leave to marinate for half an hour. After this time, drain the released juice.
  4. Cut the peeled onion into half rings.
  5. Mix vegetable oil, vinegar, and soy sauce separately. Regular vinegar can be replaced with rice or apple vinegar.
  6. In a deep bowl, mix vegetables with seafood tenderloin, pour sauce over them, stir.

How to cook squid tentacles in Korean

From time to time you can see seafood tentacles in stores. Don’t be confused, as their prices always amaze you, and the Korean salad turns out to be very tasty. The main thing is to properly clean the main ingredient.

  • Tentacles - kilogram.
  • Bulb.
  • Soy sauce - large spoon.
  • Sunflower oil – 70 ml.
  • Sesame seed - large spoon.
  • Garlic cloves – 3 pcs.
  • Vinegar 9% - teaspoon.
  • Hot pepper, salt, dark pepper.
  1. Clean the tentacles. To do this, pour boiling water over them and stir for a few minutes. Then drain the hot liquid and pour in cool liquid.
  2. Rub the tentacles with your palms, trying not to press too hard. If the skin does not separate completely, repeat the manipulation with boiling and cool water.
  3. Fry the onion, cut into half rings, add all the seasonings listed in the recipe. Fry for a few minutes and transfer to a bowl with the tentacles.
  4. Stir, leave to marinate for 3-4 hours.

Squid heh in Korean recipes

Almost everyone has heard the unusual name of the dish - heh. In fact, these are pickled seafood, fish or meat. A home-made spicy spicy appetizer will be a good addition to both a festive table and a daily meal.

  • Seafood carcasses – kilogram.

  • Korean carrots – 300 gr.

  2. Mix the tenderloin with vinegar and salt and leave for 30 minutes. At the end, drain off the released juice.
  3. Cut the onion into ¼ rings. Remove the garlic from the skin and finely chop.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the onion first. When the rings become golden, remove the pan from the heat, add garlic to the onion, stir.
  5. In a deep bowl, mix the straws with dry seasonings, fried onions, and prepared carrots. Leave to marinate overnight (that is, in the dark) in the refrigerator.

  • Salt, ground chili pepper - to taste.
  1. Release the carcasses from the insides, remove the top film, remove the chitinous plate. Cut the carcasses into strips.
  2. Peel the vegetables. Grate the carrots on a Korean grater and chop the onion into half rings. Chop the garlic very finely.

  • three cloves of garlic;
  • two bay leaves;
  • ½ tsp each peppercorns and coriander;
  • spoon of butter;
  • two pinches of salt.

Manufacturing method:

  1. Cook the squid in a brine of a glass of water, bay leaves, salt and aromatic pepper. We hold small carcasses for 10 seconds, large ones for fifteen. Then we cut the seafood into strips.

If you purchased ready-made squid strips for heh, then their length should not exceed 5 cm, and their width should not exceed one and a half. Therefore, it is better to take whole carcasses, cut them in half lengthwise, later again lengthwise, and then chop any piece into strips.

Ingredients:

  • 420 g squid;
  • onion;
  • two cloves of garlic;
  • spoon of sesame seeds;
  • a spoonful of sweet sand, rice vinegar and soy seasoning;
  • 6 tablespoons of oil;
  • a spoonful of coriander, paprika and pepper.

Manufacturing method:

  1. Dry the sesame seeds in a hot frying pan. As the seeds become “golden”, pour in oil, vinegar and soy seasoning, and also pour in all the dry spices. After a few seconds, add the garlic cloves squeezed out through a press, as well as sweet sand. Add salt to taste.
  2. Heat well, but do not boil the ingredients, remove from the stove and give the marinade time to cool.
  3. Chop the onion into half rings and combine with the squid, pour the marinade over everything, mix, cover and refrigerate for eight hours.

  • squid tentacles (1 kg);
  • onion;
  • 60 ml oil;
  • a spoonful of sesame seeds and soy marinade;
  • a spoonful of vinegar (9%);
  • three garlic cloves;
  • salt and pepper to taste (reddish and dark).

Manufacturing method:

  1. First, the tentacle must be cleaned of the black film, and then place the workpiece in boiling water for two minutes. Later, drain the hot water and add cool water.
  2. We rub the seafood with our hands (as when washing), then we rinse it and repeat the process by changing the water and rubbing several more times.
  3. Mix the painstakingly prepared tentacle with fried sesame seeds and onion half rings, add all the spices, garlic and seasonings.
  4. Leave the appetizer to soak in the marinade for four hours.

An unusual appetizer can be prepared from squids, if they are stuffed with spicy carrots with the addition of boiled rice and spices. Filled carcasses are fried in oil on one side and the other for one minute.

Squid heh is a very tasty and moderately spicy appetizer, which is perfect for a festive table, but at the same time it is prepared simply and quickly.

LIST OF INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg. cleaned squid
  • 250 gr. carrots in Korean
  • 1 onion
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic
  • 5 tbsp. vegetable oil (50 gr.)
  • 4 tsp 70% vinegar essence (25 gr.)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 0.5 tsp reddish hot pepper
  • 0.5 tsp dark ground pepper
  • 1 tsp sesame

KOREAN SQUID SNACK HYE - STEP-BY-STEP RECIPE

After previously cleaned squid carcasses, place them in a saucepan with bubbling unsalted water and boil them for no more than one minute from the moment of boiling, so that they remain soft.

After a minute, remove the pan from the stove and transfer the squid carcasses into ice water to stop the manufacturing process.

Once the squids have cooled, remove them from the water.

We cut the squids prepared in this way lengthwise into 2 parts, and then cut them crosswise into strips no more than 1 cm wide.

Place the chopped squid in a bowl, add salt and 70% vinegar essence.

Mix well and set aside for half an hour.

While the squid is marinating, prepare the onion.

Cut the onion into a quarter of a ring, pour vegetable oil into the frying pan, add the onion and fry until slightly golden brown.

Remove the frying pan from the stove, and while it is still hot, add chopped garlic to the fried onions and mix well.

Meanwhile, the squids have marinated and released their juice, drain it.

Add fried onions and garlic to the bowl with squid, add reddish hot and dark peppers, paprika, ground coriander and prepared Korean carrots.

Mix everything thoroughly and add sesame seeds fried in a dry frying pan.

We put the squid heh in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, or better yet at night (that is, in the dark) so that the appetizer can brew, but usually it doesn’t have time to brew, so feel free to prepare a double portion!

Serve the heh cool, sprinkled with roasted sesame seeds and garnished with a sprig of herbs.

If you wish, you can prepare heh only from squid, but in my opinion it turns out the most juicy and tasty with vegetables.
