  2. Cut it into three long strips.
  3. Carefully wrap each sausage in tape, making overlapping turns. Then secure the edges.
  4. Place the pieces on a foil-lined baking sheet or in a mold. Beat a raw chicken egg in a bowl. Using a pastry brush, brush the tops of the products with the lemonade.

  • half-smoked sausages - 12 pcs.
  • puff pastry – 0.5 kg
  • egg yolk - 1 pc.

How to roll and bake this pie

  1. We take the puff sheets out of the refrigerator in advance and defrost them. The size of our blanks is 20x25 cm. If necessary, they can be rolled out slightly. It may seem to you that the preparation process is long, but this is not so; you can immediately turn on the oven to heat up.
  2. Using a sharp knife, cut the layer into ribbons, but not completely. One side remains uncut. The width of the stripes is approximately 2.5 centimeters.
  3. We got 9 pieces.
  4. 1,3,5,7,9 stripes in a row are lifted up and turned to the other side.
  5. Place the filling on the dough, as in the photo.
  6. Cover it with even stripes. The sausage came out wrapped in dough.
  7. Then we raise the odd stripes up. Take the next sausage and place it next to the first one. Cover with the ribbons raised earlier.
  8. In this way we weave all the sausages. As a result, we will get a beautiful woven rug.
  9. To give the pie a finished look, take a separate strip of dough and make a side.
  10. All that remains is to bake the pie in the oven. We transfer the workpiece into the mold. Separate the white from the yolk and beat it with a fork until smooth. Use a brush to brush the cake.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 40-45 minutes. We will get a nice golden brown crust. Keep an eye on the oven window so as not to dry out the exposed parts of the sausages. From 2 sheets of puff pastry (usually two sheets in packs of 500 grams) two pies come out.
