Okroshka on the water

Okroshka with water and mayonnaise. With sausage, eggs, vegetables. Delicious, fast.

Products (for 6 servings)
Potatoes – 2 pcs.
Fresh cucumbers – 2 pcs.
Onions – 1/4 pcs.
Sausage (boiled) – 300 g
Testicles – 4 pcs.
Mayonnaise - to taste
Water – 1-1.5 l
Vinegar – 0.5 tbsp. spoons
Salt - to taste

Boil hard-boiled eggs.
Boil potatoes in their skins. Cut the eggs into small cubes.

Cut the cucumber into small cubes.

Cut the sausage into small cubes.

Finely chop the onion (I used one fourth of a small onion). You can replace the onions with green onions.

Finely chop the greens.

Mix all okroshka ingredients and add salt. Add mayonnaise and mix well. (I used a 3-liter saucepan.)

Pour okroshka with mayonnaise with cool water.
The amount of water depends on how thick you like your okroshka. It took me 1-1.5 liters. Add vinegar, half a tablespoon here and there. Mix the okroshka with sausage, eggs and vegetables and put the okroshka in the water in the refrigerator to cool.

Okroshka is the first dish that is served cool . It does not need to be boiled, so production time is short. Kvass, drink, ayran or cucumber pickle are often used as a base for okroshka. But the easiest way is to create okroshka using water. This will not make her lose any taste.

Recipe for traditional okroshka on water

To make traditional okroshka, neither vegetable nor butter is used. The dish is low in calories.

  • 4 potato tubers;
  • 3 chicken eggs;
  • 300 g boiled sausage;
  • fresh cucumber;
  • a bunch of fresh greens;
  • sour cream;
  • table vinegar;
  • salt as desired.

The indicated amount of ingredients will yield approximately 3 servings.

  1. Boil the potatoes in their skins until fully cooked. Cool, peel, cut into cubes.
  2. Boil the eggs. To ensure they come out cool , you need to keep them in boiling water for at least 10 minutes. From time to time, chicken eggs are difficult to clean. Immediately after cooking, they must be placed in cool water, then the shell will come off easily . Grind.
  3. Wash and cut the cucumber. Do not remove the skin; it contains fiber necessary for the body.
  4. Wash the greens. For okroshka, the most successful combination would be basil, parsley, dill and green onions in equal amounts. You can use cilantro if you wish.
  5. Mix potatoes, eggs and cucumber. Add salt.
  6. Prepare the required amount of unstained water. Tap water is often not of the best quality, so you should use bottled or filtered water. Add 1 tbsp. l. table vinegar, so that there is sourness in the water.
