Place the potato wedges in a colander and leave for a couple of minutes so that all the liquid drains away.

Cut the peeled onion into half rings.

Place the potatoes and onions in a baking dish (or on a baking sheet).

Add chicken breast pieces to potatoes and onions.

Add mayonnaise and carefully mix the pieces of chicken meat, potatoes and onions. Place butter cut into small pieces on top.

Place the pan with chicken breast and potatoes in a preheated oven and bake at 190 degrees for approximately 50-60 minutes.

After 40 minutes, take out the mold and carefully mix the contents.

After stirring, send our dish back to the oven and bake for another 10-20 minutes (until an appetizing golden brown crust appears on the potatoes and breast). Take the finished dish out of the oven and sprinkle with finely chopped herbs.

But, if you listen to the advice of good chefs, you can bake the meat in the oven so that it remains juicy, tender and becomes very tasty!

In one of the previous articles, we have already looked at several options for making various parts of chicken with potatoes in the oven. So now I will show you the usual recipe for a delicious, fragrant dish. And also my secrets for making a marinade from yogurt, in which the meat will quickly marinate and be juicy.

Everything is as simple and easy to manufacture as possible. With all this, you get not only a tasty and healthy, but also a dietary dish worthy of a festive table. When cool, such a breast can be cut into thin slices and served as an appetizer. And warm - with any side dish, like a hot dish. And, of course, there will always be the freshest vegetables.

You can even prepare such a dish in advance for a number of days in advance, and then serve it, varying it with any side dishes to suit your taste.

But we all know that we don’t always have the time and opportunity to create this. Therefore, a marinade made from ordinary natural yogurt, without any additives, is suitable for quick marinating of fillets, as it should be said. And in just a couple of hours the meat will be perfectly prepared.

For the recipe I found it useful:

  • Chicken breast - 500 gr.
  • Unflavored yogurt - 400 gr.
  • Onions - 2 pcs.
  • Any cheese - 80 gr.
  • Dried paprika - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

For garnish I took:

  • Potatoes 1200 kg.
  • Onions - 2 pcs.
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp. l.
  • Salt - to taste

Chicken goes well with almost anything; it can be served, for example, with rice, buckwheat, quinoa, bulgur, lentils, or simply with the freshest salad. Here you decide for yourself which side dish to choose.

Well, right now, I also wanted fried potatoes, so I decided to combine them with diet chicken

Chicken breast in yogurt baked with cheese

I started by taking a chicken fillet and cutting it into approximately three pieces.

This is necessary so that the marinade penetrates as deeply as possible into the meat.

The thinner the pieces, the better the chicken breast will be soaked in the yogurt marinade and become juicy and tender.

I cut a couple of onions into strips. And so that tears don’t roll from my eyes, I keep the peeled onions in cool water before cutting. And I also rinse the knife with cool water as often as possible.

Now I find a comfortable, deep bowl to marinate everything together. I put meat in it and salt it.

I pour in 400 grams of natural yoghurt.

At the moment, many different types of this dairy product are sold in stores. Choose only the one without flavoring additives.

After all, we don’t need a sweet taste in the marinade.

Next I add dry paprika - in my opinion, it perfectly sets off the taste of the chicken. And you can use any of your favorite seasonings. For example, dry adjika, pepper or a mixture of herbs for chicken.

Now I add the chopped onion to the bowl and mix everything well with my hands.

I send the chicken to cool in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. In the meantime, the chicken is marinating there, you can make the side dish.

Very tender and tasty chicken fillet with fried potatoes

Again, I repeat, the side dish can be any other, at your discretion. I have fried potatoes, I just love them!

I clean and cut - as usual, into strips.

I cut the two remaining onions in the same way, into strips and throw them into a heated frying pan, greased with olive oil.

When the onions are fried and slightly golden, I lay out the potatoes, close the lid and fry them together until cooked. At the very end I add salt to taste.

It's time to prepare the baking dish. I have this glass mold, it’s very convenient to cook everything in it.

I covered it with baking paper to make it easier to wash later and not have to scrape the fried pieces off the walls.

And now it’s two hours later, I take out our marinated yummy and put it in a mold.

And I put it in the oven, which has already been preheated at 175 degrees, for about 20 minutes.

After this time, very carefully, only with oven mitts so as not to get burned, I take it out and pour cheese on top. I raise the temperature to 200 degrees and keep it in the oven for about 5 more minutes so that the cheese completely melts.

So my delicious, juicy and warm chicken with a golden cheese crust is ready!

I put the fried potatoes on a plate, put a little fresh salad on top, chicken breast on top and, mmmmm......!

Of course, you can simply add chopped tomato and cucumber to the plate. Or serve just the chicken, without any potatoes or anything else.

First you need to marinate the breasts. To do this, combine mustard with mayonnaise. The breasts are washed and cut into layers into a deep cup.

Then sprinkle with salt, spices, and chopped garlic. Pour the mixture of mustard and mayonnaise over the meat, mix well and leave to marinate for half an hour.

At this time, turn on the oven at 190 degrees. While the ingredients are being prepared, the oven is heated to the desired temperature.

Vegetables are cut as follows: Onions - into rings or half rings, potatoes are cut crosswise into thin layers - circles. The cheese is grated.

Bake for 35-40 minutes. After half an hour of baking, remove the baked brisket and remove the top foil. Then the baking sheet goes back into the oven for the remaining 10 minutes. This must be done so that the surface of the casserole is covered with a golden brown crust.

Fill the baking dish in the following order: Place half of the potatoes in a greased pan, spreading the layer sparingly over the bottom of the pan. Then add fried onions and chicken on top. Cover with the other half of the potatoes and completely fill the potatoes with sour cream. If desired, replace the sour cream with mayonnaise. It won't hurt the chicken and potato casserole.

The cheese layer consists of thinly sliced ​​or grated cheese. Cook the casserole in a preheated oven for 20 minutes.
