Delicious breakfast without steaming: milk soup from a slow cooker
Milk porridge, which we remember from our youth, has instilled in almost everyone a dislike for this dish with any component. For some reason, in kindergarten, rarely did anyone like it, and as we grow up, we carry this dislike for “dairy” without even trying it again. But in vain, because milk soup in a slow cooker is prepared according to a different principle than on an ordinary gas stove, and accordingly, it has a completely different taste.
Why is it better to cook milk porridge in a slow cooker?
A multicooker is an indispensable kitchen assistant for ladies who are busy at work, for harried mothers of small children, and from time to time for men who are interested in cooking. Cooking tasty and healthy - these are its main functions, all you have to do is select a recipe with very healthy ingredients and set the program.
Milk ranks first among products in terms of digestibility, the amount of necessary substances, and is recommended for people of all ages. Therefore, we advise you to prepare milk soups for your own family and give them to children from 1 year old.
If you prepare milk soup in a slow cooker, then the milk does not boil in it, but simmers, like in a Russian oven. That’s why the dish has the mildest taste. Again, don't forget about the other benefits of this process:
- in a multicooker, milk does not boil, so worries about the fact that it might “escape” are automatically excluded;
- the porridge is ready in a matter of minutes (from 10 to 30);
- in the evening you can set the delayed start of production on the multicooker, pour the ingredients into the bowl and a real tasty breakfast will be ready when you wake up.
How to cook milk soup with noodles in a slow cooker
The fastest to make is milk soup with pasta. Cooking time depends on the type of noodles and its shape. The fastest way to prepare is the so-called “spider web” - small narrow vermicelli. Pasta made from hard wheat takes a little longer to get ready, but in the end you end up with a soup with whole, non-sticky pasta. Specifically, it is better to use it for this recipe, especially if you are preparing it for children.
Production time: 30 minutes.
Number of servings: 3-4.
Ingredients:
- milk - 1 l;
- hard pasta - 200 g;
- sugar - 1 tbsp. l.;
- salt - 0.5 tsp;
- butter - 10 g.
Manufacturing
- Pour the milk into the multicooker bowl, add butter, sugar, salt and carefully pour in the pasta. To avoid scratching the coating of the bowl, wait until the pasta absorbs a little liquid and carefully stir everything.
- We set the “Milk porridge” mode. If your model has it, then set the timer to 30 minutes.
2nd manufacturing option (if there is no “Milk porridge” mode)
- First pour out the milk and use the “Frying” or “Baking” modes to bring it to a boil.
- Add sugar, salt, butter and pasta to the hot milk and mix.
- We install the device for 10-15 minutes of operation in the “Porridge” mode. When the timer finishes working, the dish is ready.
- You can serve milk soup with the freshest fruits and berries.
On a note
- Nowadays, especially for the little ones, they produce pasta made from hard wheat in various shapes: multi-colored bows and butterflies, sea creatures, animals, stars and flowers. If you cook milk soup for your child with such pasta, eating it will be much more fun for your child.
- During cooking, you can add spices - vanilla sugar, cinnamon, ginger, but you don’t need to add regular sugar at all.
- To reduce the fat content of milk, dilute it half with water.
- If you cook milk soup with “spider web”, you can heat up all the contents for one or two minutes on any mode, and later, turning off the device, let it brew under a closed lid for 10 minutes.
- The production time for each type of pasta is individual and is indicated on the packaging.
Milk soup with noodles in a slow cooker
I really like this excellent soup for its ease of preparation, taste and satiety. I also like it because my kids eat it with pleasure. Previously, I cooked milk soup on the stove, but now in a slow cooker. Because it helps to further simplify the process of preparing an already ordinary dish. 🙂
I have a Polaris 0517 ad model, but this recipe can be used to prepare the soup in any multi-cooker model, be it Redmond, Panasonic or Philips.

3. In Polaris, set the “multi-cook” mode at 110 degrees. For 7-10 minutes.
In Panasonic, you can use the “steam” mode for 1 minute. + 7-10 min. on heating.
In the Redmond multicooker, you can set the “milk porridge” mode for 7-10 minutes.
Cooking time depends on the type of vermicelli. Look at the packaging, they usually give advice on this matter. Hard varieties take slightly longer to cook than soft ones. I cooked the soup for 10 minutes.
4. After the signal, the milk soup with noodles in the slow cooker will be ready. It should be mixed again with a special ladle or spatula.
Serve it as an independent dish with a piece of bread for breakfast or dinner. Bon appetit!
Milk soup in a slow cooker can be prepared not only with noodles, but also with pasta, cereals, dumplings and even fruit.
Experiment and I am sure that you will prepare a special tasty and satisfying soup for your own children. But don’t cook it in large quantities, keep it in reserve. Vermicelli in milk will become very soggy and the soup will not be the same.
