Exotic Thai cuisine

Exotic, catchy, immediately combining several completely different tastes, merging into a single whole - Thai salad will appeal to all lovers of Asian cuisine, and those who until now were extremely skeptical, having tried this dish once, will forever change their worldview.

For Thais, making food is equal to art, because all dishes are an extraordinary combination of colors and flavors, generously seasoned with spices.

Salads occupy a special place in Thai cuisine; they, along with rice or noodles, are certainly on the table during every meal. They are prepared from vegetables and fruits, meat and seafood, always accompanied by a special sauce and carefully selected spices, most often ground.

The most popular recipes for Thai salads are easy to implement, especially since some exotic products are not always used to prepare dishes. Thai salad can be created with meat, namely beef, chicken, fish, shrimp. The meat ingredients will be complemented by the freshest vegetables: sweet peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and various greens.

The most satisfying options contain rice noodles; most often, warm Thai salad is prepared with them. Quite often, a spicy Thai salad with meat or seafood includes sweet or sour fruits: citrus fruits or pineapple, bananas, papaya, mango, etc. They give the appetizer a real Asian spectrum, the harmony of a huge number of incompatible tastes.

In Thai salads, special attention is paid to the sauce; it should be as multifaceted and unique as the dish itself, and often it specifically combines the tastes of all products. The dressing is made on the basis of lime juice with sesame oil, soy or fish sauce; there is certainly garlic or hot pepper, ginger, and fragrant herbs.

As you can see from the photo, Thai salad also differs in its spectacular presentation. All ingredients are usually cut into neat strips, adding sophistication to the dish. Salads must be served immediately after preparation; later, the appetizer loses some of its smell and taste.

Recipes with photos will help you prepare a real Thai salad even far beyond the borders of Thailand, and the snacks themselves will add plenty to your regular diet, filling it with the exotic smells of the East.

Manufacturing

The easiest way to start getting acquainted with Thai cuisine is with beef salad, which will be more common for a Westerner.

  1. Before you prepare the Thai salad, you need to prepare the ingredients.
  2. Cut the cucumbers into long strips.
  3. Cut the tomatoes into large slices; if desired, you can remove the seeds with the juice.
  4. Cut the onion feathers into long strips, running a knife diagonally.
  5. Combine all the vegetables in a deep salad bowl.
  6. It is better to take beef in the form of a steak, since the piece must be completely fried so that the meat retains its juiciness. Fry the meat on each side in oil until cooked (you can use the grill). When the beef is ready, cut it into narrow strips. Naturally, you can cut the meat and fry it, but the result will not be exactly what is needed.
  7. Add meat to vegetables, stirring gently.
  8. Dressing for Thai salad with beef is made according to the following recipe: chop the garlic and chili with a knife, squeeze out the juice from the lime, add soy and fish sauce, sugar, mix well.
  9. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and meat, crumble the greens on top.
