To do this, you need to dump the nuts into a bag and tie it, then put the bag between the boards and, using them as millstones, grind the nuts.
It’s fast, and the main thing is that you don’t need to take out and wash the blender.
Mix the eggs with sugar and beat until a thick foam forms (7-10 minutes). Add flour, cocoa, nuts and soda. Mix everything carefully. There is no need to use a mixer, because the soda will react with the flour and the cake will not rise well.
You should get a dough similar in mixture to pancake dough.
Place the dough in a baking dish. Cover the form itself with foil. For what? To create a uniform temperature regime in the mold itself and prevent excessive “rising” of the middle of the cake or its “falling”. Place the cake in the oven. In my oven, baking a shortbread takes me 40 minutes at a temperature of 220 degrees. Take out the finished sponge cake, remove the foil, but do not remove it until it has cooled.
The sponge cake should be porous and airy.

Because the crust will turn out to be a bit dry, it is best to use a bread knife to make it.

For the cream, you need to mix cream, condensed milk and a chocolate bar grated on a small grater (or cocoa + butter). Cook everything together, stirring constantly over medium heat until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The longer the cream is cooked, the thicker it becomes. I advise you to first add the cream to a mixture of ordinary condensed milk and generously soak the shortcakes with it. Then continue to cook the cream until the boiled condensed milk mixture is mixed and cover the topmost crust and the edges of the cake with it.
Place the chocolate cake with walnuts to soak overnight (that is, in the dark) in the refrigerator. The time for impregnation can be reduced, but it is much better to set aside at least 4 hours for impregnation.
Only after this period of time will the dry shortcakes have time to soak.
