Wash the meat, dry and cut into slices.
Place any slice between 2 layers of cling film or in a bag and beat it off on both sides.
Peel the onion and cut into quarter rings.
Cut the tomatoes into rings or half rings.
Peel and chop the garlic.
Grate the cheese on a large grater.
Grate the potatoes on a large grater and place in a bowl of cool, salted water.
When you need to add the potatoes, drain them in a colander and dry.
Place the chopped meat slices on a greased baking sheet, add salt and pepper.
Place onion and chopped garlic on top, add a little salt and pepper.
Then add a layer of potatoes and lightly salt and pepper.
Place tomatoes on the potatoes, add a little salt and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar.
Lubricate a layer of tomatoes with mayonnaise and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 50-60 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked.
If after 40 minutes the cheese crust begins to brown and the potatoes are not yet ready, you need to cover the pan with foil so that the potatoes are ready and the casserole does not dry out.

I prepare this creation when I don’t want to fuss for a long time and want to eat deliciously.
The main ingredients are meat (in the case of an economical option, minced meat also works well), potatoes, carrots, dill, parsley, onions, garlic, mayonnaise, cheese.
I pour vegetable oil into the deepest baking pan so that there are no ungreased areas, but you shouldn’t overfill it.
On a baking sheet I place a layer of meat (cut into small pieces) or a layer of minced meat. I soak the meat or minced meat for 5 - 10 minutes in a small amount of soy sauce. The next layer is a mixture of vegetables prepared in advance, namely: grated carrots, finely chopped onions, parsley, dill. I add a little mayonnaise to the chopped vegetables, add salt, mix and place on a baking sheet. I make the third layer from the consistency: potatoes, cut into thin slices or circles, garlic squeezed with a garlic press, mayonnaise, salt. It will taste better if you add seasonings. Seasonings go well - suneli hops, flexible, all-purpose (“Maggi”, “7 dishes”, etc.) Place on a baking sheet and put in the oven. If the potatoes are not greased with mayonnaise, then they will dry out in the oven and the top part will not be juicy. Due to the temperature, liquid comes out of the ingredients, but this is not a failure.
During baking, the liquid evaporates. Cooks in the oven for approximately 40 – 50 minutes, depending on the temperature. You can navigate by the smell, as well as by the appearance of the potato. About 10-15 minutes before it’s ready, take out the baking sheet and sprinkle the dish with grated cheese and put it in the oven. That's all! This dish is very versatile; you can add various ingredients, depending on what you have in the refrigerator. From time to time I add chopped champignons to the vegetable mixture. Maybe I'll post a photo later.

Potatoes with meat and cheese in the oven is a tasty, satisfying and wonderful dish that will amuse both home and guests. The dish is prepared simply and without hassle, and it turns out very harmonious. For novice housewives, I will give a couple of necessary tips. This dish is a classic of the genre, as they say, but that doesn’t make it the least attractive.
So, let's take meat (I have pork), potatoes, onions, garlic, cheese, tomatoes, herbs and mayonnaise.
The first secret to making this tasty dish is to cut the potatoes 0.5 cm wide and boil for 5-7 minutes. Otherwise, it may turn out that the meat will already be ready, but the potatoes will not.
The next secret I would call is scalding the chopped onions with boiling water, this will give the onions tenderness and remove the bitterness.
The 3rd secret is for making tender meat. It is necessary to beat the pieces perfectly, adding salt and adding your favorite spices or just pepper.
Having done this easy preliminary work, all we have to do is lay out the ingredients and pour the sauce over them. If you like mayonnaise, take it. I mix sour cream and milk, add a little salt and season our dish. Place the meat on a baking sheet or in a mold. Spread a little sauce.
Place scalded onions on top.
Place the next layer of potatoes, boiled until half cooked, add a little salt and brush with sauce.
Cut the tomato crosswise, pour boiling water for 1-2 minutes, remove the skin and chop the tomato finely. Add more sauce, pepper and place in an oven preheated to 180°C.
Use your oven as a guide, it took me 25 minutes to make. Check the potatoes for doneness by piercing a slice with a fork. Now let’s cut the cheese into plastic pieces and spread it over the entire surface of the dish.
Place the pan with potatoes, meat and cheese in the oven for 5-7 minutes, let the cheese melt. If you like the crispiest cheese, leave it a little longer. That's it, the dish is ready! Add your favorite greens and serve.
Place the wonderful soft meat with potatoes, onions, tomatoes and cheese on plates with a spatula and invite your loved ones! Bon appetit!
Baked meat with potatoes and cheese recipe
We usually start production by washing and drying the meat. Cut small slices 10-12 mm thick across the fibers. Any, put in a bag to avoid splashes, lightly beat off.
Sprinkle with freshly ground peppers, seasoning for meat, instead of suneli hops we can use “Provencal herbs”. Salt. Place in a bowl, cover, marinate the meat for at least 40 minutes, more please.
Cut the onions into thin halves of rings. Mix with 3-4 tbsp. spoons of sour cream, lightly salt.
Coarsely grate the peeled potatoes and rinse for a minute and a half with running water in a colander (there will be less starch). We wait until there is no water left at all, shaking the colander and pressing the potatoes.
Turning on the oven at 200°, grease the pan with vegetable oil and place the pork slices tightly on the bottom. 500 g fits completely in a square mold with a side of 23-25 cm.
Cover the meat with a layer of onions and sour cream.
Now it’s the turn of the potatoes, a layer of which we also add salt, pepper and generously grease with sour cream. It's time to go to the oven.
After 40 minutes, take out the mold and taste the potatoes. If it is not baked yet, return it to the oven and wait as long as it takes for the potato chips to become soft and slightly baked on top. All that remains is to add coarsely grated cheese
and let it melt and brown, placing it higher in the oven. Depending on the type of cheese, this takes 10-15 minutes.
