Raffaello candies “quickly”

This recipe is the most common among all those presented and the most common at home. The candies are prepared very quickly, if you do not take into account the cooling time of the coconut cream and the finished dessert. Raffaello “quick”, of course, differs from the original, because there is not enough narrow wafer ball in the inside, but the candies still turn out delicious.

Candies Raffaello

Hi all. Now I will share with you a recipe for Raffaello’s very favorite homemade sweets. For all lovers of coconut and these most delicate sweets, see the production instructions in this article.

My plans have long been to make a Raffaello cake, but because I’m not looking for easy ways, I also decided to create coconut candies to decorate this cake with my own hands.

I will share with you 2 methods of making these beauties, one option is very quick, the second one is a little longer. Try to create both. And then you will understand which option is closer to you.

How to create Raffaello sweets with your own hands at home, recipe with photos step by step.

  1. can of condensed milk (380 g)
  2. pack of butter (180 g)
  3. coconut flakes (100 g for mass and 40 g for sprinkling)
  4. almonds (30 pieces)

for the most difficult option

  1. + special case wafer for candies (approximately 60 halves)
  2. + snow-white chocolate 100 g

Beat butter at room temperature in a mixer until it thickens and turns white.

Add room temperature condensed milk there! If there is a difference in temperature, the oil may come out in grains. Mix our ingredients. You can mix with a mixer at low speed. I would like to point out that condensed milk must not be bad! Read the ingredients, it doesn’t have to say “with vegetable fats.”

If, nevertheless, the mass has separated, then warm it slightly in a water bath, and then beat again.

Add 100 grams of coconut flakes to this mixture.

Mix and place our mixture in the refrigerator to harden for 6-8 hours. I usually clean at night (that is, in the dark) .

After cooling, the mass should simply mold, like plasticine. You may need a slightly larger amount of coconut shavings, so both the shavings and the degree of thickness of the condensed milk vary. The main thing is to get a measured mass at the output, from which you can simply roll into balls.

Next, we actually make our coconut candies. Place a nut in the center.

Personally, I didn’t peel the almonds; in my opinion, they taste better with the skin. But, if you want to peel, then you need to pour boiling water over the almonds and repeat this procedure after 10 minutes. This way the skin will quickly come off. Then, you need to dry the nuts in a dry frying pan or in the oven at 100º for 20 minutes.

Then we roll the balls.

Roll them in coconut flakes.

Option 2. A little more complicated.

In almost all stores you can find these wafer bases for candies.

We put our nut filling inside these hemispheres.

Then we combine them and dip them in melted chocolate.

Next, again, into coconut flakes. That's it, coconut candies a la Raffaello are ready.

Honestly, even though the candies themselves contain that wafer, I actually liked the first option more.

After the candies are molded, you need to give them a little time to cool. Keep them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

If it seems to you that there is a lot of butter in the recipe, then you can safely reduce its amount. My family didn't find the sweets greasy.

This amount makes approximately 30 pieces. The quantity, of course, depends on the size of the candies themselves.

I decorated the cake of the same name with my Raffaels. This is what I got.

The recipe for the cake itself can be found at the link - Raffaello cake. Do not miss.

12 Explanations

Hello, Maria! I really liked your website. Thank you very much for your work and that. that you share your experience. Please tell me the wafer body of the candy does not get wet from the cream? If you eat it not immediately, but the next day. For example. Maybe cover the inside with chocolate?

Hello. Thanks for the comment. . Of course, you can cover the body with melted chocolate, so the candies will retain their crunch longer.

Good day! My ready-made candies melted at room temperature😞

Hello. They chose bad oil for themselves

Have a nice day! How long can candy last?

Hello. Day 3 is the expiration date of the cream. It's better not to store any more

Hello!
This is what I did: I bought waffle wafers and ground them into crumbs in a blender. Mixed with condensed milk. I wrapped almonds in this mixture and rolled them in coconut flakes)) it turned out sooooo tasty, not very sweet and crunchy. I did it “approximately”, unfortunately I won’t tell you the proportions.

Ira, thank you! Maybe someone can cook it according to your recipe!

Maria, hello! I really want to make sweets according to the second option. Can you share where to buy these waffle bases? In a candy store?

Hello, no, I bought it at a regular hypermarket

Please tell me which store specifically you bought it from?! 🙏I went around Magnit, Maxi, Pyaterochka, and couldn’t find it!(

Please write in which specific store did you buy the candy tartlets (wafer capsules)? I walked around Magnit, Maxi, Pyaterochka, and couldn’t find it!(

Raffaello sweets at home, recipe with photos

Very tasty DIY Raffaello sweets

Help yourself! Now we have these delicious and tender “Rafaello” candies for dessert. They are very reminiscent of unique candies, but unlike them, they are made at home with their own hands from the most natural ingredients. The recipe is very simple and accessible. Waffle shortcakes are available in almost all bread departments. But if you’re lucky, you can also find special waffle molds for Raffaello there.

Ingredients:

  • 200 g butter;
  • 100 g peeled almonds;
  • 100 g coconut flakes;
  • 150 g condensed milk;
  • 50 g (1 small pack) wafer cakes.

Recipe for Raffaello sweets at home

First, let's prepare Raffaello from waffles or ordinary unleavened waffle cakes.

1. Cut butter at room temperature into cubes and place in a bowl. If the butter is from the refrigerator, it is better to grate it on a large grater; in the process it will soften. Add condensed milk to the bowl.

2. Beat with a blender into a homogeneous mass.

3. Crumble all the waffle cakes here.

4. Mix everything thoroughly. The resulting creamy mass with waffles should be dense, but mold well and keep its shape.

5. Pour boiling water over the almonds and drain the water after 3 seconds. Thanks to this little trick, you can easily and quickly remove the hard skin from almond grains.

6. Form balls from the creamy waffle mass, placing an almond seed in the center. Then roll the candy in coconut flakes and place it on a plate. Before serving, put the candies in the refrigerator for 1 hour or in the freezer for 0.5 hours. These are the most delicious Raffaello candies you can create with your own hands. Bon appetit!

But if you managed to find wafer balls for Raffaello, then homemade sweets will be somewhat different. Inside the half molds, simply pour a mixture of condensed milk and butter and place almond grains in half.

We connect the halves. Place the balls in the freezer for 30 minutes.

Now all that remains is to coat the candies with a creamy consistency and roll in coconut flakes. Bon appetit!
