Recipe for “Squid and Corn Salad”:

Boil the squid carcasses and cut them into strips. On my aunt’s advice, I take it out a minute or two after it boils – it comes out very tender.

We also boil the eggs and cut them into strips.

Add chopped greens to the eggs and squid.

We add delicious corn to everything.

Mix all ingredients, pepper, salt and season with mayonnaise.

Squids are cephalopods. Among them there are many commercial species. The following squids are supplied to the retail chain:

  • frozen, not gutted;
  • ice cream without heads and entrails;
  • fillet ice cream;
  • canned.

All these types have their pros and cons. An uneviscerated shellfish does not have a very high price, but a lot of its meat is lost during cutting. Fillet can be cooked immediately after thawing, but it may contain phosphates, which make it marketable. The most convenient way to use Russian-caught gutted squid for home-cooked dishes is to use it. You can also add canned shellfish to salads.

For a tasty salad you need:

  • frozen shellfish – 1 kg;
  • Dutch or Russian cheese – 200 g;
  • can of corn;
  • garlic;
  • ground pepper;
  • testicle – 3 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise.
  • The squids are thawed, boiling water is poured over them, the curdled skin is washed off, the remaining entrails are removed from the mantle, and they are thoroughly washed under the tap.
  • Squid carcasses are placed in boiling salted water. Bring to a boil, cook for 1-2 minutes and remove from boiling water. Cool.
  • Boiled squids are cut into narrow strips. Transfer to a salad bowl.
  • The eggs are hard-boiled, cooled and peeled. Cut them into narrow slices. Add to squid.
  • Grate the cheese on a large grater. Dump it into a salad bowl.
  • Water is poured from an open can of corn. Add corn to other products.
  • Squeeze a clove of garlic into the salad and pepper it to taste.
  • Add mayonnaise and mix everything. The squid salad is ready.

Salad with squid, rice, egg, corn

For rice salad with squid you need:

  • rice - 70 g (you can take any kind of rice. Long-grain and round-grain varieties are suitable. If there is boiled rice left over from the previous lunch, it is also suitable for salad);
  • vinegar (9%) – 10 ml;
  • water – 200 ml;
  • frozen squid – 1 kg;
  • testicle – 3-4 pcs.;
  • greenery;
  • ground pepper;
  • mayonnaise;
  • 1 can of corn.
  • The squids are allowed to thaw, pour boiling water over them, and the remaining skin is washed off. The mantle is inspected and the remains of internal organs and films are removed from it.
  • The carcasses are boiled in salted boiling water for no longer than 1-2 minutes. They are immediately taken out and cooled.
  • If the mantles remain intact, then the squids are cut into thin rings; if not, then into strips.
  • The rice is washed, dumped into a pan and filled with water. You will need approximately 150 ml of water. Bring the rice to a boil, cook covered for 7-8 minutes. The fire is turned off. Keep the cereal covered for another 7-8 minutes.
  • Approximately a teaspoon of vinegar is diluted in 20-30 ml of water and poured into the rice, stirred and cooled.
  • Boiled eggs are cut in half lengthwise and later cut into thin slices.
  • Open the can of corn and drain the liquid.
  • Rice, squid, eggs and corn are placed in a salad bowl. Pepper is added to taste.
  • Season with mayonnaise, mix and place the rice salad with squid on the table.

Salad with canned squid, corn, eggs and onions

For canned squid salad you need:

  • clam in its juice - 2 cans;
  • can of corn;
  • eggs – 3 pcs.;
  • onions – 90 g;
  • green onion – 20 g;
  • mayonnaise.

  • Uncork jars of canned shellfish. Carefully move the squid pieces onto a cutting board. The liquid must remain in the jar.
  • Squids are cut into pieces.
  • Boiled eggs are chopped with a knife.
  • The onion is cut into thin half rings. Very hot varieties can be scalded with boiling water.
  • Water is poured out of a can of corn.
  • Place onions, squid, eggs, and corn in a bowl.
  • Add mayonnaise and mix.

Sprinkle the salad with green onions and serve it on the table.

Salads with squid

Squids for salads are boiled completely or chopped in advance. The main thing is not to overcook! The squid then becomes hard, rubbery and tasteless. You can simply pour boiling water over it for 1-2 minutes.

Salad with squid, cucumber, green onion and egg

Squid – 300 g

Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.

Green onion – 2 sprigs

Mayonnaise – 3-4 tbsp. spoons

Peel the squid from the films and place it in boiling salted water for no more than 1-2 minutes, otherwise the squid will be hard. Cool and cut into thin strips.

Boil the eggs, peel and chop.

Wash the cucumber and cut into slices.

Place everything in a bowl, season with mayonnaise, spices, and mix.

Salad with squid, crab, corn, cucumber and carrots

Squid – 300 g

Crabs (crab sticks) – 200 g

Fresh cucumber – 2 pcs.

Canned corn – 1 small can

Peel the squid from films and place in boiling salted water for 1-2 minutes; when cool, cut into narrow noodles.

Boil hard-boiled eggs, peel and cut into small cubes.

Wash the carrots and boil them, when cool, chop them finely or grate them on a large grater.

Wash the cucumbers and cut into small cubes.

Take the crab meat (crab sticks) into pieces and cut.

Combine squid, crabs, eggs, cucumbers, carrots, and corn in one container. Then season the salad with mayonnaise and mix.

Salad with squid, green apple and canned peas

Squids – 3-4 pcs.

Canned peas – 1 can

Salt, pepper to taste

Peel the squids from films and place them in salted boiling water for 1-2 minutes; you can simply scald them with boiling water and drain the water. When the squid has cooled, cut into strips.

Boil hard-boiled eggs and cut into small cubes.

Wash the apples, cut them into 2 parts, peel out the core, then peel the skin and cut into small pieces.

Mix squid, chopped apples, eggs in a large bowl, add canned peas, season with sour cream and lemon juice. Test, then add salt and pepper. If needed.

Squid salad with celery and olives

Squid – 300-400 g

Dark olives – 10 pieces

Greenish celery – 2 stalks

Shallots – 2 stalks

Vegetable oil (olive) – 3-4 tbsp. spoons

Peel the squid from the films, cut into thin strips, pour boiling water for 1 minute, then drain the water.

Chop the olives, shallots, and celery stalks as you like. Add the zest of 1 lemon, the juice of 1 lemon, vegetable oil, mix. Then add squid, mix and add salt.

Salad with squid, walnuts and cheese

Squid – 300 g

Walnuts – 100 g

Onions – 1 pc.

Mayonnaise – 4 tbsp. spoons

Mustard – 1 tbsp. spoon

Peel the squid from the films, cut into narrow strips like noodles, pour boiling water for 1 minute, discard in a colander and let the water drain.

Grate the cheese on a small grater.

Hard-boil eggs, chop.

Cut the apple into 2 parts, remove the core, peel, and cut into squares.

Peel the walnuts, fry them in a frying pan without oil, and chop them with a knife.

Combine squid, cheese, apples, eggs, and walnuts in a large bowl. Season with a mixture of mayonnaise and mustard. If you don't have enough salt, you can add some salt.

Salad of squid, ham, mushrooms. carrots and beans

Canned beans – 1 can

Canned mushrooms – 1 can

Onions – 1 pc.

Mayonnaise – 3 tbsp. spoons

Clean the squids, put them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes no more, otherwise they will not taste good. Cool and cut into strips.

Peel the onion, chop and fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Wash the carrots, peel them, grate them on a large grater and add them to the frying pan with the onions. Fry for another 3-5 minutes over low heat.

Cut the ham into strips.

Pour liquid from canned beans and canned mushrooms. Mushrooms, if not sliced, chop.

Combine all the products - squid, onions with carrots, mushrooms, beans in a large bowl, season with mayonnaise and mix.

Squid salad with tomatoes, corn and eggs

Squid – 4 carcasses

Canned corn – 1 can

Mayonnaise – 4-5 tbsp. spoons

Peel the squid from the films, cut into strips, pour boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then discard in a colander and let the water drain.

Boil hard-boiled eggs, chop.

Wash the tomatoes and cut into pieces so that the juice does not leak out.

Combine all ingredients: squid, eggs, tomatoes, canned corn, season with mayonnaise. Test, salt and pepper if necessary.

Squid salad with radishes, eggs and herbs

Leek – 1 stem

Mayonnaise or sour cream – 100 g

Peel the squid, boil in salted water for 1-2 minutes, then cool and cut into strips.

Wash the radish and cut finely.

Boil hard-boiled eggs, chop.

Cut the onion into thin slices, chop the greens.

Mix all the ingredients of the salad: squid, radishes, eggs, leeks, greens in one container. Season the salad with mayonnaise or sour cream, test, then add salt and pepper.
