I prepare this dish differently every time, but my favorite recipe for cabbage rolls is in tomato sauce. Maybe you have your own vision of how to cook cabbage rolls, I would like you to share it.

Making cabbage rolls is a complicated matter. To do this, you need to set aside at least half a day, especially if you prepare a lot of cabbage rolls. Therefore, part of the work can be done in advance, for example, preparing minced meat. In general, minced meat can be purchased ready-made if you are convinced of its quality. Let's prepare everything we need. I just got the meat from the freezer, I'll have to wait until it defrosts.

I will pass medium-fat pork through a meat grinder together with garlic and onions.

Add pepper and salt, mix well. I made minced meat in an electric meat grinder, so I immediately made it a larger size. For cabbage rolls, we only need 600 g of this minced meat.

We will boil the rice in salted water until half cooked. Let's wash it and put it in a colander.

Let's create a sauteed dish from carrots and onions. Combine the rice with the minced meat and add 2 tablespoons of sauté to the inside. And add tomato sauce to the rest of the sauté and fry in a frying pan.

Mix the stuffing for cabbage rolls and add your favorite seasoning, for example, all-purpose.

The inside is ready, now let's get to the cabbage. In order to make the leaves for cabbage rolls separate better, we cut out the stalk to the depth that we can achieve. Later we will deepen it as necessary.

Place the cabbage in a saucepan and cook briefly to soften the leaves.

As soon as the top leaves soften, remove them, and let the cabbage cook again until the next layer softens. We will evenly separate the entire fork into sheets.

Now, finally, we can start shaping the cabbage rolls. Cut off the thickening from the outside of the leaf and put the filling inside. It is usually very difficult to immediately realize whether we have enough minced meat for all the leaves. Therefore, so that we have enough of both, we adjust the filling of the cabbage roll.

We wrap the filling from the sides. Then we roll it into a roll.

We have a cautious little darling.

Place all the cabbage rolls in a saucepan, fill with water, add sauté with tomato paste, and salt. Cook for about an hour and a half, depending on the filling.

These are the delicious cabbage rolls we got. They can be eaten with the sauce in which they were cooked, with sour cream or mushroom sauce.
